Getz-Perry-Vanek-Fowler make up 27.875M of their cap, which assuming cap goes up 3M after next season like its projected, thats 41% of their cap tied between FOUR players
They cant afford him, pretty plain and simple. if they're trading Ryan they want to shed money not gain.

I wish the Sabres would still allow Myers to play like this.... look at probably 70% of his goals in this video.. they are all from joining the rush and coming down from the blue line.

when they shackled him to the top of the zone... they stunted his growth.

I don't know much about Morrissey but I know a lot of people on here like Lazar and Mantha who are picked right after 16. I like Morin and Puluck for defense around this pick. Might be a reach for Morin to go at #16.

He could. Problem is with his rookie year and Darcy's awesome extension he gave him, expectations will ruin him if he doesn't turn it around and fast. I would be fine if he played like a solid 2nd pairing guy who contributes offensively for a few years until he's 25-26, but it won't be good enough for the media and fans

if nobody chooses him top 5 he will drop to you guys. Cal, Edm wont choose him.
Scouts are saying lots of teams really like Morin and he could very well go top 15. He's (frank)ing huge. Myers+Morin on the back end... jesus

The whole thing teeters on Carolina's draft pick IMO... EDM cannot chose ANOTHER forward.. they need to add defensive depth.

Not sure how much stock I'd put in that mock draft. Yesterday they had Monahan going 9th and now they have him in the top 5 with Domi going 9th overall..
