Calgary Eyeing Russian...
The Flames hold the 6th pick in the upcoming June 30th NHL entry draft. Word is they have heavy interest in 6'4 200 pound winger Valeri Nichushkin.

Excellent. This is who I want them to draft anyways....don't think he will be available, but if he is, franchise player type.
Then trade up to get Lazar in the mid 1st rd somehow.
Not sure if Nichushkin will be available at 6...according to this though, they think he will be. If not, Lindholm > Monohan

I sure hope that does not happen. Complete waste of a pick to take a goalie in the 1st round.
If we can't move up I hope we take Monahan. |

Yep- they don't need another goalie. Brossoit and Ramo is a good safety net.
According to the above, they think Monohan goes 5. Also don't see that happening, but if so, Nichushkin better be picked #6, C or no C. Get a Center in the mid of 1st rd.

Yeah agreed. I don't think Monahan goes before Nish. |

Yeah me too! I'm not gonna lie, I'm nervous as sh!t. I hope if the actual Shanny deal is true I hope it's finalized before the draft. I want him there. |

Feaster's drafting has been the best drafting we have seen in years! I know, it's pathetic but you must admit, he has done some good things. |

We are guaranteed one of Monahan, Barkov, or Nichushkin and I am totally fine with that. Obviously more risk involved with Nichuskin, but if he was Canadian, he would be in talks to go 1st overall. As long as Feaster picks one of those 3 or even Lindholm, I would be happy. |

In comparison to his predecessors yes, but in my opinion its still too early to say if hes done well or not with drafting. |

Top 5 picks will all be great players, 6-10 could have 1-2 great players in a deep draft like this. Between 11-20 should have some pretty solid gems too...it will all depend on scouting and development from said team. |

Nichushkin scares me....I don't care what the upside is. We don't need any threats to defect to the KHL. Just get me a good old Canadian kid who loves the game (Monohan) |
