Not one of the 5 FA
Gordon, Clarkson, Horton, Scuderi and Ference
Pick 2 - senstroll
without overpaying? I cant.
but if you insist.. gordon.. and ference
the other 3 will simply cost too much.. i bet they get absurd contracts |

no no no.. i am just saying i wouldnt pay him like a 30 goal scorer
its his intangibles that impress me the most honestly - Dozzer
ok then..that makes sense.

I will throw this out
Sign Boyd Gordon
Clarkson or Horton
Scuderi or Ference
Keep 1 of Grabovski or Bozak
Macarthur gone
I prefer Gordon over Brent, if we have to go with Grab, Kadri as 1/2 so be it - senstroll
I'm with you Senstroll. Make it happen. |

If they were 3-4 seasons ago with drop off I'd say it's a problem but it's been the last two NHL seasons. No reason to think it can't continue. - honesthockey
I would say it would be easy to say it HASN'T continued already.
Also you could have said the same of Kulemin. |

Not that fast and didn't provide much in the way of offense at the NHL level. He was great with the Marlies. Decent player but I think we should set the bar a little higher than that. Just my opinion. |

man oh man.... its always offense with you guys
hamilton wouldnt be there to score.. he would be a shutdown defensive type role.. which is very much suited for at the NHL level
and dont hand me this about speed either.. Fraser is slower than migrating dirt but he makes up for it with positioning.

That's the issue I have as well. Sure, offer him 4.5 max and if he takes it great, but I don't see it happening. |

I am not completely ignoring it but Zajac+Elias>Grabo+Mac/JVR
(+ the fact that Clarkson is on NJ's 1st PP unit) - markmark

thats why the smartest move would be to target the effective secondary guys in FA
like Hainsey, etc. |

He scored thirty goals one season. 10 in the first 10 games of the next. Then barely anything for 30 plus games. That's half a season off the scoresheet.
close to 40 games. |

No, not all about offense with me. But I'd rather have Clarkson on the team instead of Hamilton. I'm not saying Hamilton wasn't a good role player and I like role players as much as the next fan. I'm just saying the Leafs have to upgrade at whatever position they can to keep improving. Every other team will be looking to upgrade at whatever position they can too so the Leafs shouldn't be satisfied with the status quo. |

meh ...Hamilton is a nice little story but he's played 12 NHL games at the age of 28 for a reason. Leafs can do better on the 3rd line. |

Agreed. As someone mentioned earlier, a partner for Gardiner.
Pha9-Gunnar
Gardiner- (A reliable defender who can also make a decent pass)
