Also, someone clear this up for me:
The Flyers can go 10% over the cap this offseason. However, they must be cap compliant when the season starts. When can LTIR be activated? They'll probably need Pronger's LTIR to get under the cap, and I'm wondering when that can take place compared to when teams must be under the cap.

I agree its not like this is Dreger or Mckenzie reporting this.....Honestly I dont see what the Flyers would do if they didnt buy out Bryz. Yeah they could field a team but it would be the exact same team as last season as they wouldnt have much money to sign anyone. Too, Bryz has burned his bridges here and genuinely looks uninterested in playing in Philly.

I do think that the Bryzgalov leak is designed to let other teams feel the Flyers won't be painted into a corner in trading for a goalie, but it's an easy ruse to see through.

i don't see why the ducks would wanna trade ryan. they just locked up perry and getzlaf to show everyone that they're serious about contending for a cup and trading a guy like ryan would be counter-productive imo. he's signed to a really, really good deal and is still very young too.
