I fail to see how much better Vinny is.

I wouldn't mond having our top 3 guys like I said earlier ( Vin, Plek, Chuky)... trade Eller for a physical winger and ... well that leaves us with DD....

Well of course this is ideal. The problem is that Plekanec is a proven commodity whereas Eller is not. Plekanec with picks is far more likely to fetch said winger than Eller.

I don't know if you are being funny or serious. In case it's the latter, please see previous post of complete comparison, before the offensive comparison was singled out for no good reason.

As for playoffs, Lecavalier has had good years and bad years in playoffs. When has Plekanec had a good playoff performance... ever?

That's all great but when he doesn't play full seasons will the 0.09point per game make much difference?

and before you go on about their playoff performance, neither player steps up their game in their playoffs, they just score points at the same pace as they do in the regular season.

Both players career PPG avg in the regular season is the same as in the Post season.
Vins avg's are higher but he had a higher ceiling in the beginning of his career compared to Plek starting his career on the third line.

Yeah, it'll never happen, but it's maximum Plekanec money. Otherwise, you keep Plekanec. For that reason, even if bought out. I'm pretty sure another team would at the very least match that 5M and then we are back what oilhab said about him not wanting to play in Montreal.

i dunno. i don't have an issue with him really. can't blame him for wanting to leave Cleveland (you ever been there?)... he's the best player of his generation. he doesn't beat women or get arrested for driving drunk or trying to smuggle firearms through airport security or shooting people dead on his front lawn (yeah i went there). he's arrogant but so what. wouldn't you be if you were that good, that rich and that good looking?

EDIT: ok maybe im a little gay
