Is he 6'2? I read two places that put him as 6'0. Let me triple check.

Edit: perhaps you were right.

mannnnn! it was almost laughable to think jay thought he could pry the 1st overall for 3 1st. while ill agree there are some great draft picks, to think any of the 3 picks could equal the quality of jones or mackinnon let alone druoin is very debatable. feaster is desperate... im with you on keeping the picks and just draft well. period plain and simple. look at the year the habs drafted kostistyn, carter, getlaf perry all were taken after him. feaster has Identified 5 potential franchise players, well he may just have to look harder cause theres a few diamonds in the rough.

As far as ken king goes, he is way past due to be replaced and when that happens, im sure feaster will look and react a lot better than he has in the last year or 2. king is whats wrong with this team... they are stale, and for feaster to come out and say, only now, that theres no quick fix. well fu ck people have been saying that for 5 years! im sure things would have been handled differently if king were gone. The ROR fiasco was an attempt at a quick fix, almost 100% sure that had ken kings hands all over and feaster took the hit from the media and fans.

for me, trade the oldies while they have value, keep some core vets and lets see this team become good again. probably in 4 years. If the ownership group and management are worried about corporate tickets and bandwagon fans not showing up for the game because they don't have any huge recognizable players, well you reap what you soe. this team has been a joke for years and now if the so so fans don't show up, well that leaves room for the real fans who have been suffering watching this pathetic excuse for an organisation ice the team it has... they will have a chance to watch players who are hungry and who are committed to making this team gain some notoriety again.

After the O'Reilly fiasco I don't think Colorado wants anything to do with Jay Feaster and his madness.

Don't really think the flames have anything to offer the top five teams that most other teams looking to move up couldn't beat if Calgary had two top ten picks maybe but I'm sure there are much better offers from other teams, flames need to restock their prospect pool quantity is better for them at this point

Best player availible for all 3 slots is what needs to be done. I don't see Morrisey as BPA at 22 and their is no way Fucale is a 1st round talent.

Sven is someone a lot of teams would love. Don't think COL would do it to move down, but how about TB?

Yep pretty much, it was reported here in Denver that the Avs really have no interest in dealing with Feaster and that the offer was quickly rejected. However it was also reported that the Avs countered with 3 1st round picks PLUS a young nhl ready player that would be considered part of the Avs core, ie Baertschi or Brodie

That's a tough call. It'd be a step back but could be two steps forward long run. However baertshi has developed well and clipped a point per game in ahl and had his good moments in the show.

I wouldn't do it unless it was something like 3rd and panik for baertshi and the 6th. Calgary gets barkov and panik, two big bodied scorer's. tough call.

Not wise for the Flames. Stock up on as much talent as you can and address needs down the road when you have a better idea of what you have.

I am pretty sure it has all been aluded to that the package to make the Avs trade the 1st is a top 5 pick, another 1st rounder (this year or next year) and 2 young core assets (either high level prospect or a good job player).

I think the 3 1sts, Baertschi, and probably another prospect would have made them think about it, but why would the flames want to give up that much. Kings Ransom for that pick. But why would the Avs settle for anything less either, embarrasing overpay for it or else we would be fine just picking Jones or MacKinnon and having a core player for 10-15 years

Bob stauffer. Didn't confirm but gave some indication. He works for the oilers so knows some stuff. He's the main radio/media guy for the team

Colin not syaing there is no chance the flames get the players you sugested to make your point about keeping the 3 1sts, but what happens if it does not go that way?

Roger Millions has said that Nic Petan is very high on the flames list. Hartely has come out and said he loves Fucale. I think Monahan goes at #5 to Edmonton with Carolina picking up another 2nd round pick. Nashville is taking Barkov.

So then my question to you would be, would you trade the 3 1st round picks for an ellite center like Mckinnon or want to have Lindholm, Petan and Fucale? I would easily pick Mckinnon.

Then I would be fine with a Lindholm, Morrissey and say Santini or Rychel.

keep the three picks, draft Monahan in the #6 slot - you can never go wrong with an Ottawa 67's player

if Feaster is committd to a rebuild, they will get a good to really good player in Monahan this year and two other assets. ]

They will most likley be in the top 3-5 next year and the year after.... they can get their franchise type player then.

This is year one in the typical 5 year rebuild ... patience is key
