Edmonton would love to deal for Bolland AND Seabrook...providing the hawks would take pic's,prospects ,2nd tier players or value contracts. The Kids aint getting dealt
- Jeropotato

What pick are you thinking about? What do you have, the 7th? Edmonton could be a force with seabrook and Bolland. Hate to face them. I wouldn't expect any of your kids.

Also like 80% of the board predicted Hawks in 7, that means they'd have to lose 3 games. So far they've lost 2, don't get why everyone has declared the series is over
- rollpards19

Because of the way they've lost those 2...totally outclassed.

It was a dark day here in Chicago when AV got fired...we were hoping that douche-bag was going to be a fixture in Vancouver for years to come.

Toews has 1 goal in the playoffs and smarty pants Q puts him with our two pk specialists, neither of who could score in a Saigon brothel.

He pulled that line right out of his s hit shaft.

- philco28

Yeah but toews hasn't been getting it done all playoffs with anybody. While they don't score a lot, I think frolik and Kruger have been the hawks most consistent forwards at keeping pressure on in offensive zone. All they need is someone with skill to finish ie. Toews. Maybe that is what he thought. Idk

Ultimately, the Hawks taking their foot off the pedal - as they have done SO MANY times this season - is the reason they are in this situation. IF they continued play in period 1/Game 2 throughout that game they don't lose that all important home game. It now has the Hawks in a must win/gut check/no holds barred Game 4 on the road, in Boston, at one of the hardest arenas to win. Yup.

They've been great no doubt, but they're miscast on the top line and when asked to chip in with offense ? Don't see it.

Arguably the biggest series of most of these players lives.... and they don't bother showing much effort...

It's mind boggling.

Eh, I guess I get what you're saying, but no Bruins class made Stalberg and Kane miss wide open looks from between the hashmarks. Every game is different and until someone wins 4 its anybody's series in my eyes. Also time to start tripping guys on faceoffs when we get a PP to play 4 on 4

I hope tonight was the body shock they needed to realize: We can't take our foot off the pedal... ever.. in this series. They learned that lesson against the Red Wings. We'll see what happens in Game 4.

Color me a fool but I suspect a much much better Hawks overall effort in Game 4.

The positive here is that I think most of us knew this series wasn't going to be easy - it was going 6 or probably 7 games.

Maybe we should have traded Stalberg for Ott yesterday. Or even Lucic? These straw man positions you guys create is akin to middle aged women female doging about everything in their lives. The fact you do not understand the facts of what I presented, and hear what you want, like a middle aged woman...it makes continuing this exercise rather fruitless.

Promise if the hawks win the cup, you will head back into the closet for another year. Or at least try to plug that hole in your cup that makes it half empty all the time.

- TrueGrit

You have no fact or stats. Just play that card because you know nobody will dig up film to prove some raging @sshole on a blog wrong.

And IF the hawks lose and WHEN stalberg becomes the next Tim Connolly and is out of hockey in 2 years? My guess is you'll be hiding.

I did enjoy your comments about how the hawks mood in the locker room was horrible because stalberg was sat. That was classic.

Keep spinning Sally.....you're more entertaining then most politicians.

True, as much as I like Kruger and Frolik they are bottom 6 defensive forwards. Maybe Kruger could take a stab and the 2C role, he couldn't be worse than Handzus.

Is there anything in the rules that says you have to put 5 skaters out on a PP? If not, no need to trip, just pull one guy off.

I'm going to be surprised if they don't pull it off next game. I haven't given up on Toews, this team yet like almost everyone else.

They go down next game, I'll join everyone else in the pity party.

For the players that this is indeed their biggest series - they've shown up: Shaw, Bickell, Crawford, Kruger, Frolik. For the likes of Toews, Kane, and Sharp they've all been here before, and they're nt playing with the same hunger as the guys I first mentioned.

Hawks win Game 5 in a nail biter at home, 2-1
Bruins win Game 6, 3-1
Hawks win the Cup at home in Game 7.. 3-1!

Yeah it is weird. But I have no idea who should be with who now. Maybe the lines at end of lA series: bickell-toews-Kane, Sharp-zeus-hossa\smith, Shaw-Bolland-stalberg? Whatever happened to shaw and Bolland?

I think he's hurt. There is something there, anyway. The guys a warrior, and I don't subscribe to the BS on the Canucks board about him showing his "True Colors" this spring (low production, visable frustrated, etc).

Toews is hurt. There is no other explanation. He's never been this invisible in his career, not even close.

Completely agree - something is up with Toews and he's playing thru whatever it is.. broken hand, arm, fingers. Something.

You're right - he's never played like this his entire career... ever. Never looked this bad, on the dot etc. There's something wrong.

He's played that role this season with ok results...but one puck possession team is getting a BEATDOWN AT THE DOT by another bigger, nastier, puck possession team
