let's get away from this series for a minute, gonna ask ya, IF, which is a reality with SB, he fails to make a blockbuster to get a #2 center, but did clear some $$$ cap relief & Danny Briere, Brad Richards or Vinny L are bought out, would any of them be options for a couple of years till our youngins are ready?
I'll take any of the 3, but looking at their game style, I'll take Danny Briere 1st!
ya ya I know he's small... but that is the 2nd move after SB trades for Bobby Ryan... and I win the Lotto!! as much as I commend his effort, please no Zues, tank is empty stan! - wonthecup10
A. Well put
B. while any of the three would do, I am surprised you would go after the smallest one.
C. I've always loved vinny. I bet playin in a legit hockey market would be a rejuvenator for him. On a side note I always hoped he would play in mtl while he still had something left |

Haven't seen any of them play much lately, but my first instinct would be for Vinny.

Hard to see us winning any fights in this series. Unless it's Shaw vs The Beak. The B's are BIG, TOUGH and win MOST of their fights. There won't be any unless the game is decided with 10 minutes to play in the 3rd. That's my view.

because I fell vinny is going back to montreal if not tampa, richards back to Dallas. Briere would work well with 88. |

I am surprised too he liked briere since he is always talking about that Juice head lucic, but while not big physically briere is Huge in the playoffs. He really steps up and is a lot grittier than people give him credit for. I don't like his injury history, though. Big risk. I still want to trade for a young 2c. Cup is right, though, we need a couple Bangers. |

tom, give ya a side note, Danny's cousins live here & he loves this city. his 1st option because he is a single dad, is to keep his kids in school in jersey, but if it's not meant to be, might as well go where there is family & the bowmans like him.
we'll see how it shakes out. |

Actually Hawk...one of my biggest BEEFS with Q's approach is....NO ONE IS CHALLENGING LUCIC...AT ALL...he's KILLING US.
If I were coaching...i'd assign Car Bomb to rattle his cage a few times and make him keep his head up. It's too easy for Luch right now and Q should be kicked in the pills for letting this happen. It's a MASSIVE FACTOR in the series and Q is NOT GAME PLANNING ONE IOTA FOR IT |

Yeah those 2 juice heads would destroy any hawk. I'm so impressed by someone half a foot taller and 50 pounds heavier than most players being able to beat someone up. Luckily there are very few fights in the playoffs. But they need to Hit and Hit hard. Time to stick up for yourselves. It isn't like they will have to fight them. Finish their damn checks. |

Big Z will fight ...but most likely not. This team is running from pucks we have to grow some balls boston isn't going to hand us the cup....we have to be willing to take it from them,or we have no business being there |

The Chicago Fly Bys are getting exposed by the FINISH EVERY CHECK BIG BAD BRUINS and Candy Ass Q better wake the phuck up.
It's not a case of playing the Bruins game. It's a case of STANDING THE PHUCK UP FOR YOURSELF.

That would be great. He could definitely teach a lot of the players here that just because you aren't big doesn't mean you can't make things happen during playoff hockey and also you don't need a lot of size to be chippy and tough. My only concerns are some injury issues and how much a new contract would be. |

Again...i'd love if we could dummy these c*nts with the gloves off...but what is obviously most important is standing up for ourselves and finding an AGGRESSIVE O'ZONE game plan that can pot a few and put some pressure on Rask.

We have grit in Car Bomb and Mayers (the ultimate pro as Q calls him), but a rusty Ben Smith usurped both NHL vets in one fell swoop. |

we'll see, i'll ask his cousin the next time i see her, see if they talked recently. i don't know , maybe SB is saving that spot for josef marha so why would he be interested in Briere. |

No doubt we are playing like chickenpoops. But, what I don't get OR like is how big are these forwards? No doubt Boston is bad but outside of Horton, lucic, and the 5 minutes of Thornton how imposing are the rest? That is what makes it even worse. All of their forwards play bigger. Even ones who aren't known for it. Kane never will in his life, but the others and the hawk D should really man up. If guys like kelly, Bergeron, paille, Marchand, even krecji and seguin are imposing their will out there |
