I like Smith. I like Bollig...but like Gekko in Wall Street said..."their dogs with fleas" or flaws. Smith's rustiness was a serious concern. And Bollig's defensive foibles were exposed in G2.

When Carcillo has played..he's looked fine to me. But he plays 2-3 shifts and then Candy Ass Q sends him to purgatory for usually....nothing.

Then, we've got Bickell who's had a breakout playoff...is top 10 in scoring in the post season...and plays 11 minutes in a building where we needed our jumbos in the air. But he was left in the hangar until it was too late.

Q talked about non puck carriers fighting to get the net in his Tuesday presser. We'll see if his words carried any weight later tonight.

I'd like to see Car Bomb but Candy Ass Q doesn't trust him and has given him the ROYALLY PHUCKED treatment all year

They are...to this point. We've playing STUPID, CHICK'NSCHLITZ hockey for the last 5.5 periods. It's up to Q and the lads to do what needs to be done because it's blatantly PHUCKING OBVIOUS. Do they WANT IT ENOUGH ? Watching the game Monday..the answer was an unequivocal NO. But they do have time to right the ship.

Funny you should ask Cup...i'm hoping to do the Bears/Hawks double header thing....sometime in the fall. Waiting for the Hawks sked to come out next month and see what dates work....

Lifelong Hawks fan....seen them probably 15 times in Toronto dating back to the late 70's...

saw 1 pre-season game in the Stadium vs Winnipeg in '93 and have NEVER seen a game in the UC. Hopefully that changes this fall.

I feel like we all talked about this ad nauseum around the trade deadline. We needed/wanted somebody to man the right point on the power play, we wanted a 2nd line center to win fo and play with either Kane or hoss, and we wanted a bigger top 6 fwd to play with toews and/or provide net presence on the pp. Stan decided to stand pat. I don't know that he was wrong. It's confusing because even though we need ALL of those things, we are 3 wins from a cup and, if we don't, I'd be more inclined to point to the lack of production from toews rather than the roster issues. Weird, I never thought I'd say that!

let's get away from this series for a minute, gonna ask ya, IF, which is a reality with SB, he fails to make a blockbuster to get a #2 center, but did clear some $$$ cap relief & Danny Briere, Brad Richards or Vinny L are bought out, would any of them be options for a couple of years till our youngins are ready?
I'll take any of the 3, but looking at their game style, I'll take Danny Briere 1st!
