Let him be....he may riot if Boston wins....

I 110% agree with you....if Toews isn't hurt this team has MAJOR problems ahead. He's been THAT bad this playoffs.

Remember when Hossa was grilled all day long in 2010 about not scoring? Funny...I don't read that about Toews.....ridiculous Hawks are limiting his availability...SPin, spin, spin......

Smith was far more effective tonight than Bolland, Stalberg, Leddy, Bickell and probably a few others.

Let me get out some chalk and side walk and do this real slow for you. Victor Stalberg simply is not your problem. He created chances and was a net positive. To suggest otherwise is dishonest.

If anyone is going to sweat what 25 does, and does not realize the guy is a compliment piece to your core, and you do not fairly assess or analyze your core...then you have no clue what the real problem is with the team.

The power play, like last year, is the weakness of the team. By 10 furlongs. This game had a 4 or 5 hit difference, irrelevant.

All those cliches don't matter, Snoop Dog said it best back in the day. Want some , get some ,bad enough, take some. This is what this series is about. It is what the cup is about. All the style points and BS is just that. Lost 2 - 0 I goal in last 5 periods. Figure that out and things should get better.

Anyone who does not think the Horsepoop pp does not drain energy from everyone on the team is kidding themselves.

Series is far from over.

Contradict yourself much? For 2 days you've ranted how vik was one of the answers, but now he isn't?
The PP blows, for years running. If that's why they are losing, as you say above, how are they going to "fix" it in the next day? Same stubborn coach, same sh1t scheme

As disappointing as some players have been there have been others that have surpassed expectations these playoffs - Crawford, Bickell, Shaw and Keith have been great.

Handzus has completely blown a tire, it's time to get him off the 2nd line. If he's not winning face offs then why is he there. Kruger or Shaw would be much better options to centre the 2nd line:

Bickell - Toews - Kane
Sharp - Shaw - Hossa (assuming he plays)
Saad - Kruger - Frolik
Handzus - Bolland - Stalberg

- DarthKane

Someone care to explain the Frolik-Toews-Kruger line to start the game?

Hossa goes AWOL and Q loses his mind & puts our best center with not one... but TWO small 4th line, penalty killers.

Actually I thought it was the best line in the first period.

Send Stalberg packing; get rid of that useless pile of dung.. Put either Smith, Bollig or Carlcillo back in.. And I never want to see that man in a Hawks Sweater ever again..
- victorymc98

LMAO,

Brilliance, He only was one of the better forwards tonight. But go ahead and ignore Toews and others, who actually skate 20 minutes.

If I had a guess, it's because those two are extremely hard-workers and pairing them up with Toews (another player who leaves it all on the ice), maybe good things would happen.

16 out of 49 at the dot tonight. Bergeron 22 of 27.

Power play 0 for 5 with four shots on goal. 0 for 10 in the finals, and 7 for 68 in the playoffs.

Speed kills because it causes penalties and creates power plays. If you can't convert, it is a license to call in the bulldozers, because the refs call nothing in the post season.

And since the last line of defense is hitting back, the Hawks are pretty much doomed. Unless....they suddenly and miraculously turn around the power play and find a way to win...some....board battles.

Team is not built to win a Cup. Too soft. Sorry, but true.

The Hawks remind me of the 2011 Canucks...great team but second best. Boston is and was back then the better deeper team. Just my opinion, which is what this is I believe? An open forum opinion based website.

i still hope stalberg finds his way to the flyers in the offseason to replace Matt Read on the 3rd line once they buy out Bryz and flip Read for Jonathan Bernier. I've said it before but Stalberg reminds me of Voracek before Jake found his stride.... Big Body, Fast Skater, Snakebit Shot. I also think Stalberg would learn to play more physical in a non-Coach Q system.

Really..not saying he has been playing great and isn't the end all be all in post season but you may want to check the hawks record in post season with him in the lineup.
- UnnamedSource

Sorry I sure you are right; just seem everytime I see him on the Ice during the playoffs I want to throw things at the TV.. I see no use for him on this team again.

Wow, two comments about Stalberg. I mean if Carcillo or Bollig were in, they likely score 4 goals right. Here is something hard for you to follow, you don't get those chances without him playing, but go ahead and let that put your mind into the endless hourglass.

Maybe, if he had been playing the last few games he would have been sharper. To pick and isolate 25 for any issue, other than peoples hate for me and logic, is simply comedy. Chicago Sports fan syndrome. Stumble on some group think and beat it to death. And when faced with facts, shout it louder.

Kane, Keith Seabrook missed net in third, right in slot. Damn Victor.

- TrueGrit

And you continue to protect him like he's some gem.....No.

I see zero rebuttal to his nice shanks of TWO wide open nets, but then again....it's playoff time...and Victor rises up so nicely this time of year. Why don't you post us all some of your favorite Stalberg playoff goals? Can't wait to see them.

His whole career is an almost......so much speed, so little finish.

Yes, they did... This was the game where the sense of urgency should have been there. WE GOT MAN HANDLED.. Since the start of the 2nd period of game 2, Hawks have continually been out worked, hit... etc. Someone must ask Q.. who is the responsible party for that horse schit PP. Arent you the HC??? This current B's team is what the Hawks were before the purge. We just don't have the balance anymore. Only gonna get worse with the salary cap coming down soon. Sighhh... Now we have more questions... WTF is up with 7, 88, and now 19. 19 is obviously hurt. 7???? 88????? Gonna be a very interesting game 4. Gotta win. Don't want to see Boston holding the Cup in our barn.

Better at looking like crap sure; so glad he helped his teammate out when Chara was beating 29 to the ground.. OOOO wait; he wasn't. 25 is useless on this squad, I'll take 52 or 13 at least they are man enough to stand up for their teammates.

Do I think this Hawks team is good enough to beat this Bruins team 3 out of the next 4 games? Certainly. I still think the Hawks have more talent (not necessarily the better "team")

I do not know why this team continually - and even throughout the season - has a dial that they think they can turn on and off. For most of the third period they had that dial "on".

- The Hawks need to get back to their puck cycling and dominating puck posession.

- The Hawks need to get back to the type of game that won them Games 5, 6, and 7 in the Detroit game - physical forecheck with their defenseman not making boneheaded mistakes coupled with just continuing to pepper Rask.

- It boggles my mind how this team can't remotely come close to a puck on net when they have glorious chances. There were also three instances where the had a player wide open and instead of putting the puck on net they chose to pass the puck.

Ugh.. hate this feeling right now.
