This is the first sentence of the article if you actually read it:
"Marion Hossa has been a relatively healthy NHL player. He has missed a game here and there over the years, but really the shoulder surgery in 2009 was responsible for his most time lost for any one injury (22 games)."

The other blurb mentioned by Scott Wheldon doesn't really help his case or yours that Hoss is a fragile player.

Other than shoulder surgery he was leveled by Torres and had to spend time in the quiet room. I'm not sure there are many if any current NHL'ers who would have escaped a similar experience after Torres launched himself at their head.

Sorry, but I believe the guy if he said he couldn't go. Don't know him personally but his body of work here has earned the benefit of the doubt from me and probably most Hawk fans.

I think the issue everyone is having with your idea of Hossa is that you are saying he is almost cowardly or soft. Which he is not, he is a very strong and willing player. So to label him as a bad teammate or non-competitive soft player is why everyone has an issue with what you're saying, or HOW you're saying it. Maybe thats what you mean in which case i disagree and say you are wrong and can go away.

Opposing opinions are fine...dumb ones not so much. If you look into the article it even states that Hossa has been a relatively healthy player his whole career.

That's not a very compelling statement when you are trying to label a guy as fragile or someone who just decided to take the night off which is what the other Bruin poster was saying.

Just kind of a dumb comment. Hasn't Bergeron had some history with injuries? I don't think anyone here would question him if thought he couldn't go Wednesday. Ok maybe a few but they're not so bright either...
