if bergeron or horton or whomever, pulled himself out of a Stanley Cup final game only to be ready for the next one in 48 hours i'd be really upset.

Then you have no experience with separations and/or back/neck issues. You just saw Horton pop his shoulder our on a play with almost no contact in game 1. That can also happen in any number of ways in warmups or off the ice.

If this were someone other than Hossa who has a history of avoiding contact you may have had a point.

Supposedly Hossa had a groin injury. Tony Amonte said in a interview in Boston that he had a source from the Hawks that told him this.
- jhawk159

If that is true then he shouldn't play tomorrow. I hope it is not because he will be severely limited if it is.

I feel your pain John. But your team is pretty solid. Don't let a beat down by the Bruins change your opinion too much. Your team is good. I watch Boston against the Leafs in the forst round. They did the same to us. IF Chicago has any chance they need o get inside of Rasks head, and the way you do that is bump him. often. but he's had a protected field day. And stop the line matchups. Just play a faster game.

Good luck in the rest of the series.

Good post. I would love to see all of that. Particularly more contact with Rask.

That was believed to be the issue that started when Ryne OByrne took him out in the RS. OByrne was also the one who took out Sharp's shoulder.

I won a Toews bobblehead (from the Blackhawks web site) and I brought it to work to decorate my desk. I am superstitious when it comes to playoff hockey, so after we were down 3-1 to Detroit I let one of my employees (another Hawks fan) keep Toews on her desk but she would have to smack some sense into him. So every day (all day) she flicks the Toews bobblehead and so far it's brought good luck. Last week she went on vacation to Mexico, so we decided she should bring Toews there to continue the routine.

Here is a picture of Toews in Mexico (he's back home now):

Doesn't matter.

You're comments around Hossa and playing/not playing last night are beyond moronic. If it was Alexander Karpotsev no one on the board would have an issue, but Hossa? Get a clue.

Hossa is no wuss.

Does not finish a lot of checks, but he does occasionally. Few players are stronger on the puck and tougher along the boards.

Kind of a dumb comment.

Marchand the instigator? Shaw slashed his leg and then grabbed him from behind.

I'm not overly bothered by the whole thing, but at least be rational about it. If Marchand had done what Shaw did, you'd all be calling him a gutless puke.

Marchand was holding on for dear life. He wanted no part of Shaw. Which was smart. Shaw finally got loose and landed one.
