No offense, but its getting pretty soft in here.

- moondawg

That's what she said?

Quite a few of you are acting like the series is over. It's only 2-1 for the B's. If they split in Boston, it will end up being one hell of a series.

Getting Handzus was fine, but continuing to play him on the 2nd line when he's not effective is an issue.
- DarthKane

The issue is he is more effective than anyone else they have.

Sounds like some of you guys need tissues.

I can't believe you guys are actually finding camaraderie with the Bruins fans, the team that you are engaged in the biggest battle of the NHL season.

And you guys are roasting marshmallows around the campfire with the Bruin fans singing kumbaya and sharing Nucks hate stories.

No offense, but its getting pretty soft in here.

- moondawg

seriously. Nucks fans really are tools.

Hossa is a game time decision and Mayers is in the warmup
Hossa can't go so they haul Smith out of the stands
WTF

Then Sharp the leading scorer is stuck with Smith
WTF

Then Toews gets two fourth liners as line mates
No Kane no Sharp with Toews
Kruger and Frolick
Against the Lugic Line
WTF

Then the best or one of the best shut down pairs in the game Keith and Seabrook do. Not play against the Luguc line
WTF

Wow what a fire drill

All that being said building a Stanley Cup winner is a work in progress for the Hawks
Not quite there yet
A few pieces missing so Bowman's job to add the pieces going forward

- PEIHawkFan

Q may have been trying to look like a genius or he may have been genuinely desperate. The Toews, F and K combination had a few decent shifts. I would have much rather seen the T, B, and K line for the whole game. Seems to get Kane involved (being out there with T) - not sure why Q misses this.

And Super Slow and not physical and since when did he become good around the net in the NHL?
- Maggie

He is slow, but he's a big body and does well around the front of the net. I think he demonstrated some of that in the few games he played when he was called up.

I forgot about LeBlanc, but I expect that both he and McNeill (and Danault) will play in Rockford next season.
- DarthKane

I think all three of those guys are at least two more years away from the NHL.

I see more Band Aids coming for those next two years. There is little cap room to maneuver with, and I do not see the front office star chamber making any real deals.

If Handzus isn't winning faceoffs then either Kruger or Shaw are better options at 2C.

I agree, and I think Pirri will be a band-aid.

I'd still like to see Stan make a deal with Garth Snow for Nielsen, he could be our 2C.

Pirri and Leblanc are tiny guys who play small. Danault is decent, meh, ok sized, but plays big (a lot like Kruger, though Danault has more 2C qualities, IMO). The Hawks could use 3-4 mature, developed McNeills right now.

I hope John McDonough and his hockey and marketing flunkies are enjoying Drew LeBlahhhh's "youtubes" and his "mad skills."

More tiny is not what this team needs.

Same probably applies to Ben Smith. Good kid, marginal skills, small.

This team needs to get bigger upfront—and bigger in terms of playing style—not Viktor Stalberg/Brandon Saad "big" (which means 210 pounds on the roster and 175 pounds on the ice).

Amen. This is my least favorite thing about these forums, whether one is talking about "Cindy" Crawford, the Sedin "sisters" or playing like p*****s, etc. ... It makes me cringe.

It's not necessary, and it's generally not either original or amusing.

- Tugboat

Spare me. If a person like "smell my glove" or "glove stuck where" or whatever is hitting the misogynist key too often than call him on it BUT let's not PC ourselves into oblivion.

And don't ever touch "the ginger sisters" that may be the most fitting moniker for a pair of players in the history of sports.

This is true.

Games 5 and 6 of the Wings' series, game 4 of the LA series were huge gut checks this team passed. Game 4 of this series is everything. The entire season really.

I will blog on this tomorrow. Jobs should be on the line.

Players should play like it, coaches should coach like it.

The "GM" needs to be ready to do his job—because his failure to produce a PP QB, faceoff wins and size upfront—after he traded a lot of it away (Byfuglien, Campbell, Ladd, etc) for "cap relief" is glaring.

It's called sportsmanship. Something most of you Canuck burners will never know about.

Your team certainly doesn't.

Pathetic. You talk out of both side of your mouth and are totally clueless. You can't hang with me. Now cut out it before I work you like a rented mule and leave with that dumpy stretch-marked mess you call your woman. I'll treat her real nice too. Take to her to Denny's and even let her have an appetizer. Doosh.

Very, very apt. We need some 190 pound guys that play 220, too much of the inverse.

Wow. A decent post from a Nuck fan. And a true one.

Get Bickell back involved along with an inspirational comeback by Hossa and this is back to home ice advantage.
