It is more the 5 games here 3 games there that add up to missing 15 at the end of the season. Or missing 25-30 due to surgery or whatever. Apparently he hurt himself again this off season rumored here to be a shoulder... no bueno...

This is another playoff run where he has ended up run down and required time off or been rendered ineffective and that isn't including the playoffs.

At a certain point you can't have an oft injured veteran eating up that much cap space for that duration, regardless of how good they are healthy, if it becomes a chronic trend.

As a kid I'd lay around the house and listen to both on the radio - because.. specifically... WWW. Pathetic and still pisses me off to this day.

Funny story...

I took the Metra every day early in the morning. I became friendly with a woman who worked at Wirtz Beverages on LSD and knew WWW personally. I know in the past she'd tell me how fantastic he was and how great he treated his employees (Heard this many times BTW).

I got a call from my buddy at 6:15 that morning, "He's dead! He's dead!" I simply said to her - assuming she had already heard - "Sorry about WWW passing". She hadn't heard and she was in tears the entire train ride into the city calling folks.. WHOOOPS!!!

That's yet another reason why I love this sport. The passion, the traditions, and after all is said and done, EVENTUALLY, we all settle down and bury the hatchet....except with the Nucks.

I'm not making excuses, but it's gotta be tough not playing for two months, you're not a regular in the NHL (you're at the AHL level) and as a result have no chance of finding a groove, then you get the call to play in a super pivitol game...on top of that, you were'nt able to skate in the warm-up. maybe a little slack can be cut here. He's quick and had some chances yesterday. Bring Jimmy up, he's good around the net.

Totally get that, but I still didn't like his game. I can't get over not going after Paille there, he just stood there. Could Bolland have sucked less and Crawford be on a better angle, of course, but Smith just stared at Paille as he shot. I'm sure it was a hard situation, but he played and its the cup finals

Grew up right outside the city, the accent was unavoidable. I was able to suppress it for a few years when I worked for Big Blue but I haven't done any customer facing in years. Today I'll be hosting call with reps from Saskatoon and Sydney Australia. Accents flying everywhere
