If I'm Q then Stalberg sits for the rest of his LIFE! not only does he suck at everything besides skating real fast then losing the puck, he did NOTHING when Chara was blasting Bickell right before the game ended. I dont care if Chara throws you off of him across the ice, you need to do something to stick up for your guys and show some F'n heart. Shouldnt be too suprised because Stalberg is a jerk that ive been not happy with since he got here.

Besides that, i think theres still a chance for the Hawks'. Stalberg out, Carcillo in, keep Ben Smith in (unless Hossa is back obviously) if Hossa is back then Ben Smith takes the 4th line spot. Power play is clearly crap, as long as they dont give up any short handed goals then fine. Im done getting pissed about the power play. Sack up during 5 on 5 and get in Rask's face, take the beating and give it back as well. Nothing to be scared of, the Bruins are good but they are a beatable hockey team.

F Stalberg, i dont want to see him ever again.

Ben Smith was miserable last night, how can you want to play him again

No local TV
Not paying your players (Roenick, Belfour, Chelios... the list goes on)
Treating "season ticket reservation holders" like garbage
The Lindros trade that should have but wasn't.. because.. well we know why

... the list goes on.

Man, did it ever suck getting 95% of my hockey fix listening to Foley and Talon on the radio during much of the 80's & 90's. Thank God Foley was such a good play by play guy when they were doing simulcasts.

- Julia, Victoria.. any other female names you can conjure up to try to sound intelligent?

- Salty? Again.. read what I'm typing: I'm proving the stupidity of your argument. That's far from salty.. just pointing out how stupid your argument is.

- Chicago back alleys on the weekends? Good God could you come across as any more of a troll?

- CaptainBlackhawk

Should I stick your element then? Trailer parks right Luann? Or you more of Bobby Sue? Kerri-Ann?

EDIT: Keep brandishing the word intelligence too. I'm sure you'll convince yourself you're wicked smaht soon enough kid.

will you guys relax.

i love your national anthem routine, always have. i'm being sarcastic because you guys are making singer and accent digs. really?

and WWW is not a huge riddle to hockey fans outside of chicago.

- I'd bet if you asked a mass majority of hockey fans who WWW to the Chicago Blackhawk franchise that 7/10 responders would have no clue. That's my highly scientific poll!

- The dig was specific to the gentleman posting about Hawk fans allegiances. I don't think you'd argue, however, that he was downright horrible last night.

Dude, he won a Stanley Cup with the most stacked team since the 80's Oilers. Glen Sather didn't look the genius after Gretzky left either, did he? That's hardly a "coaching win." They went to 1-3 vs. Detroit and nearly lost because of his goofy line juggling. And he nearly lost them the WCF with his goofy line juggling. He regained his sanity late in both series and they were able to scratch out wins.

If you look at the playing of favorites, surrounding himself with yes-men and lackies rather than with qualified assistants, stubborn refusal to change what isn't working, stubborn refusal to make obviously needed adjustments in-game to try and salvage a big game ... need I go on?

- Q...argh

You need to let this go.

The only chance Q gets let go is if this "split" we hear about comes to a head and he wants out.

He has made some questionable decisions but the performance is there. You cannot fire a coach who won the Presidents Trophy and took you to the SCF.

They will not fire him based on performance. Yes, he is a frenetic line juggler. So are many coaches. Did you see a line last night that should have stayed together? Kompton was also a joke hire. It happens. Record is what matters. A 1st round exit would have probably cost him his job. If he goes after this he will be hired immediately and the Hawks will be hiring who? I would take Haviland or Torcetti over any of the names out there but they would still be coming into a total pressure cooker.

As a kid I'd lay around the house and listen to both on the radio - because.. specifically... WWW. Pathetic and still pisses me off to this day.

Funny story...

I took the Metra every day early in the morning. I became friendly with a woman who worked at Wirtz Beverages on LSD and knew WWW personally. I know in the past she'd tell me how fantastic he was and how great he treated his employees (Heard this many times BTW).

I got a call from my buddy at 6:15 that morning, "He's dead! He's dead!" I simply said to her - assuming she had already heard - "Sorry about WWW passing". She hadn't heard and she was in tears the entire train ride into the city calling folks.. WHOOOPS!!!

And I completely respect that. Just giving an outsiders perspective on a topic I clearly have no clue speaking about (ie: cultural relevance to the franchise). Just responding tit-for-tat with another poster - my mistake.

1) he suited up right after warmups after only playing the last game of the season.

2) Can't that argument apply for Toews, Kane, Stalberg, Bolland for the vast majority of the playoffs? At least we were able to hear Smith's name getting mentioned by the commentators because he was doing something.

If Hossa wants to retire I would completely understand. His long term health needs to come first.

I would prefer to see Hossa stick around for a long time, you just can't replace a guy like that. But if Hossa wants to retire hopefully he lets the team know and they can use one of the compliance buyouts on him. I'm not advocating buying our Hossa, but if Hossa wants to retire then a buyout is best things for both him and the club.

Anthem complaining is a hoot. This guy does it that way, that guy does it this way...bla bla bla...

If this nation REALLY reveres its freedom (we don't really, we just like to talk about it) then respect all interpretations of the national anthem (well, except that one by Rosseanne Barr) that are performed honestly should be a model we follow and shouldn't denigrate into someone's self-appointed interpretation of 'the right way' to do it.

Yes, I LOVE the way Chicago does it, I think it's the best, but do NOT care how other singers/cities do it. It's their call.

Wouldn't they get a cap break regardless if he were to actually retire? Something I am not certain about...

It would be better for both he and the team if they were able to LTIR him for the duration of his contract,

No the argument can not be made that Ben Smith ever plays as well as Toews or Kane because he is so fundamentally worse than them. His lack of effort on the first goal was embarrassing

I would be more concerned about the fact the Bs seem to have found a way to score on the PP.
