Wow this thread sure got trolled by canucks fans. As a Bruins faithful for the past 25 plus years, I will say that I respect this Hawks team a hell of a lot more than the floppy whining pussification of a team from Vancouver that made it to the finals in 2011.

Salute to your club...they are playing great hockey...but hopefully there's a lot of hockey left

Honestly considering making a list with you and all the other people who declare series "over" before a team wins 4 games. Its driving me crazy. Why on Earth are you watching then? And don't give me any "your drinking the kool-aid crap, the Kings were hurt, we got lucky, this team is so soft" crap because its the Stanley cup freaking finals and they were one goal away from a 2-1 series lead and there is still tons of hockey to be played
- rollpards19

I'm with ya Roll...

Am I confident?...heck no, but by definition it's over when one club wins 4. Can the Hawks find a way to win 1 game to make this a 3 game series? Sure.

But will they? hmmmm...it seems like that adversity thing has crept back into the picture.

Stakes on Wednesday could not be higher...Q better come up with something a gazillion times better than the s h i t we witnessed tonight.

You're welcome here anytime Nut!

Luv the matchup, but was hoping for more out of the Hawks.

...and I have no ill will towards the Bruins. In fact, if you guys want to keep the Habs down for say...another 40-50 years I'd be good with that.

I listened to the game on WGN...was in and out...but I had no idea that Q was getting so goofy with the lines.

For gahd's sake, I know Hossa was out, but just put Toews with Kane and sort the rest out and stick with it.

Q's jumbling made it seem like camp in September.

Dominated.

That's it.

Toews....1 goal in 20 games. So if we're going to rip Kane, rip Toews. Guy has been horrible far too often, and when your captain is a ghost, how do other players take getting ripped apart?

Funny this is, Kane and Toews are playing like the Sedin twins...all talk, very few results.

Sharp....feel for this guy. Busting his @ss every shift. Best player outside of Crawford. Hammer and Keith have been good enough.

Stalberg....if he had any skill he nets 2 goals tonight. No hands....and nice job sticking up for Bickell as a 6'9 giant is all over him. What a great teammate.

You aren't beating Boston in Boston without a PP and the Hawks don't have 1. It's excusable. No adjustments...Just bullheaded BS, forcing the same thing that has netted all of......nothing. Boston PP at least produces chances.

Time for Q to call this team out.....it's stars....can't win a cup with no production from the $$ guys. This isn't a February tilt against Columbus. TOo many passengers. Too many soft plays. Nothing to lose if team responds negatively.

- SteveRain

Agreed about the hawks, Toew 5 shots has to bury one tonight. Give the bruins credit though Rask unreal same with Chara and what he did to Bickell. Toews looked hurt after that big hit. Cant blame one player the Bruins are just the best team in the NHL no holes. Hossa being hurt really changed the game though, what if Bergeron left hurt instead?

>JJ, the Hawks are getting slaughtered at the center position in every possible way -- a position the front office has failed to improve upon
>Add Q's hope for the 2010 Bolland as an answer when it's the 2013 Bolland who is available
>Seeing Krejci level Toews -- spoke volumes to me -- the Bruins have absolutely NO PHYSICAL FEAR of the Blackhawks -- ANY BLACKHAWK
>Add to that the Bruins 5-on-5 forward spacing is far superior to the "horizontal Hawks" who always have their forwards at the same depth while the Bs have one forward ahead of and one behind the puck carrier
>Patrick Sharp played another fine game and has shown throughout the playoffs that he is both deserving of the "A" and that he is indeed a crucial core player
>The power play has reached a level of ineptness that is hard to believe -- I'm curious to see Rocky's offseason reaction if the Hawks lose the Cup -- after all -- the Chairman thought it crucial to the "Blackhawk brand" to get reporter SCollins canned for a handful of YouTube videos from years ago -- wondering what he thinks this stench of a power play is doing for his Blackhawk brand on national U.S & Canadian stages?
>Most disappointing of all is that after Period 1 of Game 2, the Hawks are getting outworked nearly every shift -- the Bs are making things happen because their effort shows they want it more -- it sure looks that way

J Toes seemed invisible to me except the crosscheck in the last minute which seemed kinda cheap. but you are right JJ the $$ don't dictate playoff performers. I provided the blueprint to beat the Bruins. You have to score on the PP there is no way around that. If you make em pay on the PP then you can win. When the refs don't call any of the nastiness and dirty cheap bullpoop that scum like Marchand are delivering, then winning on the PP is even more important to deter some of that bullpoop. The Hawks aren't getting into the grill of Rask at all. The D men are playing scared (keith anyone??) and the forwards are taking a beating cuz they can't get a pass on the fly.

I'm not gonna say I told you so just yet. but I will if the Bruins win in 5.

All it takes is a Wednesday win by CHI and this series is 2-2 going back to that Insane building in Chicago, I am certainly not counting my chickens yet. Our NEW 3rd line has been awesome and the reason why we have won the last 2 games, plus the defensive shut down, but it takes 4 wins and everyone knows in the Playoffs it only takes 1 great period, or 1 great play to turn the series on a dime.

Crawford has been really really good, I'm not sure why he gets so much flack, his positioning is very good.

This! Nothing to be ashamed of as a Hawks fan.. and there is still some hockey left. But Bruins are so well build. You don´t need roster full of stars to make things happen. Lots of respect to that team

Toews can´t be 100%, can he?

SLAM!!!! That noise you heard a month ago was the window closing forever on your current band of divers and whiners. At least Toews plays hard unlike sister number two who stood there and allowed a player half his size to use his head as a speed bag. Go back to your board and read Esplen tell you your team will win 3 - 1 tonight.

While I'd like to believe the Hawks can come back and make a series out of this, or better, win it, I can't see it happening. The Hawks just don't have the right horses to win against a big physical defensive team with outstanding goaltending. Afterall this isn't the Canucks diving team with Captain sieve we're talking about.

If Management aren't interested in putting players on the team to allow their skill players to play the roles they are suited for and to allow them to play without fear then move the skill players like Kane to another team who wouldn't dream of allowing their top players to play without a strong physical supporting cast. I hope this series is a wakeup call to Management that all successful teams must be balanced with skill and grit, with speed and toughness and that slow isn't always a bad thing. I'd take a slower Chara, Lucic, McQuaid, Boychuck over a fast Kane, Oduya, Leddy and Saad any day of the week.

Regardless if Toews is 100% or not he can't be expected to do everything. If you want him to score provide some grit players to battle for the puck all night, if you want Toews to battle for the puck all night then you can't really expect him to score can you? Same with Kane. Everyone knows Kane is a timid perimeter player. If you want him to play a more robust game get some bigger more physical players who do the physical work and give Kane confidence knowing someone has his back. But more importantly the physical players make the other team play with a little fear. Right now I see no fear at all from the Bruins. Once Boston adjusted to the Hawks team speed they have taken over the series slowly but surely.

Props to the Bruins they're playing great...

As we can see the Stanbow Hawks are charmin soft, have no centermen, no physicality, and no PP qb.

The Hawks PP continues to be the trainwreck we know it to be. How does Kompon have a job? Of course the Bruins finally got a 5 on 3 last night and it took all of 11 seconds to score while the Hawks had what a minute and change the other night and couldn't even muster a shot.

Thank goodness they put Stalberg in last night. If Hossa can go put Ben Smith in instead of Stalberg. Smith seemed like one of the few who actually showed up to play last night. This team has been downhill since they disallowed the 2nd goal in game 2.

Don't count on management - Rocky - forcing any changes after this year: he can crow about a successful season - SC Finals, at least 13 extra home games, record TV ratings - what change is he going to force?

are all blackhawks fans bipolar or just the writer and people who post on HB? honest question. one week the hawks are invincible, the next they need to blow the team up. relax, its a 2-1 series in the cup final.

Toews and Kane aren't being hit on the PP - certainly need someone big at the net, but why can't 19/88/10 (81,when he's there) get something done with their quickness and skills at least on the PP, net presence or not, bad schemes or not?

At least win a face-off or two, so they can start the play in the zone instead of 200 feet away after a Boston clear?

Quenville said he is day to day with an upper body injury and hopefully he will be back for the next game. He also said that Hossa was NOT hit in the face with a puck.
- GoHawks63

This NHL secrecy bullshi...t on injuries is absolutely ridiculous. We are the paying fans who deserve to know what the injury to Hossa is !! They reported that he got hit with a puck in warmup ?????? then retract that later ?? Now it's an upper body injury ?? Unbelievable and terrible for the sport.
