5.5 per year. - canadianpenfan
Holmgren is one of the biggest fools in the game. 5.5 million for a PMD that sucks on D and is going to be 40 at the end of the contract?
You want to know why the game is having a strike every eight years ... it's moves like this and what Dallas gave Gonchar and Edmonton gave Hemsky two years ago and well, 6 million for Timonen. |

Couture and Vlasic. That's my wish list. - canadianpenfan
Isn't it asking too much? Couture would be awesome with Sid though. His winger for the long run. |

$5M for Gonchar, $5.5 for Streit...you think Letang's gonna take a discount at $6-6.5? - errey12
Wow....I saw that happening. I actually said they would sign him 3-4 years for $5.5M on their board a couple days ago. ....everyone expected this to happen, obviously. |

Thanks.
$16.2 just doesn't go as far as it used to. In this case it gets you two slow defenseman who's best days are behind them.
Pronger is an unfortunate situation though. I do feel bad for him. |

I would have fired Holmgren after the Pronger deal. He clearly thought he was signing the guy to a below 35 contract when it was signed |

After that I didn't think he would sign anyone to an over 35 ever again. I guess I was wrong. |

18.2 mil for 2 perennial Hart contenders in their 20s sounds pretty good right now |

Its good to see we're not going to have to worry about the flyers being a legit threat for a while. |

If they land Luongo after a possible buyout I think that puts them right back into the fold. |

Do you honestly think Vancouver would entertain the notion for that? Nope. That seems to be too much for Letang. |

Lu has gotten closer than the majority if not all the free agent goalies and is easily a notch above most in accomplisments.... typical eastern bias shows very little about him. Last I checked the Flyers can score... they're already ahead of the 2011 Canucks |
