The same can be said for Weiss and Florida...

As a 2nd liner, if that's what we're comparing them at, Weiss is the better player. More complete, better statistically, and he won't come as expensive as everybody thinks. Hell, I'd rather have him then Grabovski too. He's going to sign at below 5 million, probably 4.5, he wants to play for the Leafs only, he had an off season last year, not exactly able to ask for the moon, this situation isn't even comparable to Connolly. Weiss has always been at the forefront of the Panthers, Connolly disappears, and has always been in the background.

If Weiss played for Detroit over the last 5 years, I guarantee his statistics would be incredibly better. Likewise, if Filpulla played for Florida, his statistics would be worse than Weiss'

A different system, players are completely different outside of it, same goes for players that come from NJ and join a new team. Just curious, how many of Flipulla's points were scored playing with Zetterberg, Lidstrom, Datsyuk, and Franzen during his 66pt campaign? How many of that was on the powerplay?
