So we're all pretty convinced that Grabovski can't have a better offensive year? Because I won't be upset if Kadri and Grabo are our 1-2 this season. I think he'll do fine when he's given more ice-time, after Bozak's gone we won't have to worry about hurting his feelings by giving someone else his spot between Kessel and JVR/Lupul, haha.

I agree he's a "moderate" upgrade over Bozak, but not enough of one to justify the $5-6M per year it will take to sign him.

So of the three choices JFJ had to choose from in a trade for Raycroft:

a) a never was in Pogge or
b) a player who could never succeed in TO in Tlusty or
c) Rask who will wind up winning his share of vezina's, Stanley cups & an inevitable entrance to the HHOF when his long brilliant career is done.

Hmmmmm I'd say let's all burn JFJ in efigy but that would be letting him off too easy.

In JFJ's defense... ... EVERYONE in the hockey world thought Pogge was the next big thing in goaltending. Mistakes are made, let's move on. Reimer showed he can compete with an all-star calibre goalie and we should give him the credit he deserves, not worry about what we could have had in Rask.
