Wrong. Glenn Healy is the worst "analyst" on TV. Such an idiot and says everything with some an arrogance it drives me nuts

Every European has a chance to make the NHL like anyone else in the world.

Except that no country in the world has as many children playing hockey than Canada. The point you are trying to make is rediculous , let it die.

no...i want one of either urbom, gelinas, or merrill.
- deks1

Yeah but that quality I'd depth we can get in free agency. I have feeling we will be happy with the return for Hemmer. Not anything near what Tambo was looking for, but maybe a legit bottom 6 fwd and a 3 rd or a prospect maybe.
- Jeropotato

Thats what im saying. I dont think ur thoughts are much different than what i just got. in fact, my deal might be better.

a 3rd pairing defender isnt much different than a bottom 6 forward depending. And i got a much higher 2nd and a middling prospect.

merrill is like klefbom level
- TheNugeIsHuge

No he's not. He hasn't even played very much hockey the last couple of years because of suspension or injury

No shot on merril. And i thought about urbom, but dude sounded like he wasnt gonna pay a penny more than what i got.

I actually think its a pretty reasonable deal and as much as we might be able to hope for

I still like the Simpsons but I can't stand Don Cherry anymore. I really don't like how biased he is towards the Leafs. In the Toronto- Boston series he kept about "US" like he's part of the team. What a (frank)in traitor. Where did you make a name for yourself in the game you senile old racist (frank). Its really only a matter of time before he drops the N bomb on the air and CBC gets rid of him. That's really the only reason I watch coaches corner cause I'm waiting for that day. (frank) Don Cherry. Love Ron McLean

I was in red deer back in the day meet Ron Maclean and Bill ranford got there autograph and asked Ron how he puts up with Don and he just laughed and said hes not that bad. Both seemed like nice ppl and Bill Ranford had the best leg saves of all time lol

1. Ovechkin is a machine
2. Doctor who treats numerous Washington Capitals is caught selling steroids, and gets thrown in prison.
3. Ovechkin instantly becomes half the player he used to be.
4. Goes to Russia during the lockout, and raves about how much he likes it there... B1tches about the NHL.
5. Goes back to the NHL, and sucks for half the season...
6. Decides to go back on the steroids, because he'll either a) tear it up and nobody will know why and he'll go back to being the man or b) Get caught/suspended/kicked out of the league, and go back to his homeland where he can make just as much money, and he and his WIFE can have orgies with Russian supermodels.

- laughs2907

2. A chiropractor who treated two Capitals, one Eric Fehr, was named by someone busted in Florida for selling steroids. He named numerous Nationals, but no Capitals..the connection exists through the chiropractor, who treated more Nationals than Capitals.
3. No, no he doesn't. Ovechkin is the same player as when he came into the league. One trick pony Ovi flies down the wing and scores by using the defender as a screen. Took the league a few years to defend him. He tries the same thing, and can't succeed. By the way, during this decline, Semin and Backstrom's production also went down, as it did for all the Capitals, especially after the heals of the President Trophy year.
4. Like a handful of players did? Including Brouwer, Kovalchuk, Datsyuk, Neuvrith, Hamrlik, etc.
5 and 6. He played the same year all season. His second half tear, not unlike other players in the past, was based mostly on PP goals, which Oates is a specialist.

Worry about the Oilers.

When was the last Stanley cup series a 6-5 or 5-4 game? The regular season is time for the stars to shine but the cup is about grinders and heart, reason why most stars are invisible come crunch time. Always the goalie and who has the better 3rd or 4th line team. Has anyone on this site watched the playoffs in the last 20 years wow. Don cherry has been in every area of the game but a Gm I think he knows alittle more than someone that's happy its spring break. You re not going to win this conversation so go back to talking about who can fill the 3rd and 4th line for Edmonton your not bad at that.
- time2produce

LOL yep all the leading scorers in the playoffs are grinders who are scoring by pure grit, and grinding the puck into the net.

njd is weak on the right wing side. hemsky will be a good addition. i would even give toss them omark and one of hamilton/cornet/or rajala for a shot at their top d-man prospects. i'd consider taking back tallinder or fayne if salary is an issue.

2-5 ~ His energy level was not the same. People defended Armstrong as well. It will come out eventually.

1. In 2010-11, he plays like he always has, suffers shooting percentage decline, suffers from Caps power play decline, still near the top of the league in even strength points.
2. Caps fire Boudreau next season, replace him with stifling Hunter Hockey. Ovechkin gets noticeably less shots on net, rebounds on SH% but less goals overall.
3. Post-lockout, Ovechkin's first bit of the season he shoots 5% (really damn low), he starts getting shots on net at a rate close to his 2009-ish levels, his sh% progresses to his career average, and he wins the Richard.

Simple as that.

Could have been because he's getting older, and he's also never been big on training or fitness.

I read a Roddy Piper interview today. He said he took steroids back in the 80's and it helped him endurance-wise during a 150 night, one-night stand streak. They Live was awesome.

He only lost one year. He's a good prospect but not on Klefbom's level. I love his mean streak. Been following him for a few years now.

Rajala is on another level from Cornet and Hamilton. I just want Omark gone from this organization. Just walk away from him without a qualifying offer. I don't even care if he does go to Detroit like people have suggested or anywhere else and rip it up. I don't want to hold onto the guy out of spite. Just want him gone. Peckham is in the same boat. Let's just get rid of all these guys that can't buy into our team concept.

That's weak. However I wish I could be pumping the Nuge full of HGH right now while he's out of the league until November/ December. I'll be damned if I couldn't bulk that boy up before he came back.

Steroids do not give a person more energy. You do know they are not stimulants? Right?

HGH isn't really a bulker. It would definitely speed up the healing process from his surgery, and in fact I know that some pro athletes are allowed to use GH to aid in recovery from surgeries. If you wanna bulk up the nuge, a nice stack of Test Cypionate, with either Deca or EQ, and a faster acting test like Propionate or orals such as D-bol or Anadrol would put 15-20 lbs of muscle on the kid by the time training camp opens. I am sure Katz could get the kid a deal on the stuff.
