What bothered me is that Boston made an adjustment after the first period and started getting the better of the play, but there were two periods to be played and I kept waiting for the Hawks to make an adjustment to what Boston did in order to make a push of their own and it just never happened. It reminded me of game 2 against Detroit. In that game they weren't dominate in the first like they were tonight, but they still ended the first period in that game with a 1-0 lead as well. Much like tonight, Detroit made an adjustment and took it to the Hawks the rest of the game. In both games, after a solid first, they were completely ineffective in all aspects for the rest of the game.

i love your attitude. that is way to be. anyone can fire up and angry easily, but it takes a person a special trait to enjoy hockey through the ups and downs.

im not saying it humongously disrespectful , but if you didn't wear those fighting for out country don't (frank)ing wear them for a presser..... I have been over seas and I have wore those fatigues and I have lost bothers, I find it disrespectful to wear fatigues if you haven't been over there and in battle. sorry
- hawks5

Look into why it's worn it's not disrespect. Was given to bruins from Army Rangers, player of the game gets it

Army Rangers jacket given to Andrew Ference by Army Rangers, they give it to the player of the game in the dressing room from the players, they are then normally wearing it during post game presser.
- MrBeanTown

yeah we know that, that is why it is disrespectful.

I was concerned that at some point in this playoff run that the Hawks atrociously horrible power play would come back to hurt them. Perhaps it is the B's who are going to finally show that Hawks wart.

With a team who plays great team defense, a goalie who is very hard to beat 5 on 5 you need to capitalize on your PP opportunities. The Hawks don't look remotely close to being able to do that and THAT has me more concerned than anything else right now.

any way you look at it, I believe that stalberg is back in for game three and we go back to the lines that finished off the kings............ q needs to stop out coaching himself and keep poop simple, if the hawks keep it simple and play like they know how to no one will beat us.
- hawks5

For those looking for a change in the lineup in Game 3...

From Q's post game comments there won't be a single change, unless an injury surfaces.

Exactly, they are honoring the character of servicemen. Believe Ference and a few others are very active with various military organizations in a positive way. Leave this issue along Hawk fans.

yeah, because hockey is like war. so whoever gave that to you i am sure cleared it with all the other people in the rangers who have lost comrades. it is cool though. you are like army rangers. you deserve that.

u know what u are right. it is cool. i think it is cool. i really would love to have a ranger jacket. what a hockey game makes someone think they deserve to wear a jacket of someone who risks their life all the time and has their comrades die. makes you think it is acceptable to wear that. they could put the jacket on display behind the player, but nobody but unless a ranger should wear that.

Overreact much? Hawks are in the Stanley Cup for the 2nd time in four years, but we're going to question the FO? They lost a game, it happens. It's not the end of the world. They got out played 3 periods out of 9, but we're going to get are butts kicked in Boston? Can the real fans please stand up? What are we New York?

Didn't know it was you who determined who the "real fans" are? Thanks for letting us know.

Now I can make sure to comment in pure meatball-ese...I wouldn't want to damage your uncritical confidence in the Hawks greatness.

Take a read, seems like the Army Rangers are damn happy this is happening, it's respect not anything else

Very surprised this could be taken in a negative light

I know the story Beantown...not a problem as I see it.

Besides, I can't stand wrestling, and find it ridiculous, but have no trouble with the Hawks passing that silly belt around.

actually i am happy for you. i am happy for all the good people of boston and the armed forces. i know an army ranger personally. i know a marine who died, my cousin.
i would love to walk around wearing army ranger jackets too because i thought it was cool.
if it boosts moral, then i say all for it.

wear that jacket all you want, but nobody on your team earned the right to wear that jacket. i dont care if someone says you earned it, nobody earned it.

they ran out of gas this game . they abandoned their physical game and boston kept hammering them and wore them out THATS BOSTON'S GAME. if they want to win this series whIch they can they have to pound there d throughout the game like game 1 .

i dont know if the opportunity wasnt there this game but when the second leading scorer in the playoffs is playing wounded you take clean runs at him and make him want to watch from the pressbox next game.

Q will switch the lines come monday Bick will be top line . hopefully that will make it tougher on Rask and Chara

these guys our beatable no one these playoffs has given the hawks this much room to skate. COACHING STAFF JUST HAS TO REINFORCE THEIR GAME PLAN

WOW! Are you Crow's agent or just High?
- PuckkmeNOpuckU

I've a question for ya...

What goalie, who's not currently playing because they gave up too many friggin' goals, would you want instead of CC?

Lundqvist?
Kipper?
Quick?
Emery?

You'd be complaining just as loudly is my guess. And don't mention Niemi because his number sucked in 2010 compared to CC now. Sure he stole a game in SJ, but the Hawks also scored...ALOT...in 2010.

Oh..and I wish I were CC's agent because he'll be getting a raise from someone when his next deal is completed.

Nope...

...no disgrace in not winning...either tonight or the finals. There's always next year if it comes to that.

Heck, I'm already looking forward to a FULL schedule.

We all love refs that let them play, but by not calling penalties they totally give the edge to 1 team and 1 style of play. All the Bruin coaches and players said they cant match chicago's speed and skill so they have to SLOW them down. Right there they say they have to clutch and hold them. That is what they mean by slowing down. Having said that, Hawks didn't deserve to win playing soft and timid

Thank you, you made me laugh. Critical is one thing, calling for the end of days is another. The Hawks played crappy after the first period. Is that critical enough for you? There is another game on Mon, Weds, and Sat at least. I've read a lot of your posts, and you've been a fan for many years. How many times were you watching the Hawks play in late June? It's a great time in Chicago hockey! Enjoy it.

It's not that they lost that makes it a disgrace, it's how they lost.
