Sac up? I'm trying not to doubt them, because every time I do it seems they prove me wrong, but my gut tells me Steamrolled is more likely. Hope I'm wrong.
- Ogilthorpe2

I just hope we can show the mettle on the road that Boston showed. If we pull a no show in that Lion's Den...we could be in serious trouble.

I will be willing to bet that stally clears that puck and we are still playing, stalberg need to be playing and opening up space..... bollig is doing nothing for us, other then not clearing a puck and giving it away to boston
- hawks5

We all know that 8 out of 10 times the D man pulls back from Stalberg on that play because he does not want to be burned by the speed.

Lucic was coming and Hammer hit the CHICKEN SH IT SWITCH
- philco28

Can someone explain to me why no one will hit that POS? The next guy who does a flyby on the great Milan F'ing Lucic should be benched StaHlberg style. He's not a God.

Yep...wonder if we can sac up and keep the game close in a rabid Boston arena ? Or will we get STEAMROLLED ?
- philco28

Well, I'm pretty confident they have NO chance of winning there playing hard for only 20 minutes like they did tonight. They are going to have to play a full 60 and play mistake free hockey. Even then, with the way Rask is playing, it's going to be a close game. The Hawks aren't blowing the B's out in any game. On the other hand, another effort like tonight's and the B's will hammer them. Crawford has been great, but believe it or not, he may have to take it up to another level and steal a game in Boston.

Really, here we go, lets turn the page on all the 25 obsession from 2 years ago. Stalberg has played solid and consistent in the playoffs like all year. Projecting anything else is just intellectual dishonesty. If people want to say he is not a Q guy and its Q's call...that is honesty. Trying to say, based upon his performance that he was hurting his team is just message board legend.

Q decided to eff with Stalberg and make changes vs Detroit, That is his call. But anyone here suggesting that Vic was a liability in the minn series is high. Same can be said of series vs Detroit once he came back and LA series, which....get this.....WE WON!

But hey, lets do what the Pens did, try to out Bruin the bruins and forget who we are....genius.
best comment of the night, I just said that earier,
Again, no slight to Bollig.

Listening to Q talk about power play is like a dad talking about his son pointing out the most obscure things to clap your hands about. We made two passes on the PP....Yeah.....

Jeez...

For those looking for a change in the lineup in Game 3...

From Q's post game comments there won't be a single change, unless an injury surfaces.

Wonder if they'll be a change in message. Q completely got out coached the last 45 minutes in this game.

So much easier to enjoy when you don't have a rooting interest. I can't take this either.
- howiehandles

Aint' that the truth...with so much on the line there's little enjoyment when the games are so close...just relief when the end. Sometimes with joy, sometimes with heartbreak.

The regular season is a blast when your club is good, but the playoffs are ulcer inducing.

He isn't playing this series.
- Ledgermain

He IS playing - he's being tied up by the Bruins and being taken out of his game n

Both he and Q have to figure out how to free him.

Adjust: that's what winning late-round play-off games comes to.

More to say tomorrow morning but....The better team won and not going to win games at this level with about 8 shots over two periods.
- Al

You could argue the Bruins were the better team in both games. If Krug makes the safe play instead of throwing it up the middle, the Hawks probably don't come back in that game. As it was they needed a deflection off of Ferrence's skate to tie the game and then the Brunis had close to a dozen chances to put that game away in the first overtime and couldn't get it done.

On replay on the goal, Toews jams the goalie into the net...no way that goal should have ever been allowed, but don't let that ruin a good narrative.

Only thing i can think of is...it's part of the game plan to not awaken a sleeping giant..same applies to Chara. Problem is...LUCH IS WIDE AWAKE and he's killing us with his scoring touch, his crushing hits and his aura of intimidation and the only response has been Bollig jawing at him at the end of the 2nd...before his ECHL touch that led to the goal.

you werent 85 percent of the people on here who loved stalberg not to long ago? come on.
- jsabey

ive been a stallberg fan from day 1 , his overall speed creates major problems for teams all game long. and that's how you need to beat boston... we don't have 1 fighting major in these Stanley cups playoffs so whats the point of playing bollig?

I thought Stalberg was playing well in the Wild series. Have no idea why he was benched. He hasn't been as effective since then. With that said, I'd still rather have Stalberg in the lineup. The guy is still a threat to score and make things happen with his speed. Bollig is not a threat to do anything but eat up minutes to give other guys a rest. Not sure I even saw him throw any hits tonight, which I assume is why Q put him in the lineup. I realize Stalberg has a tendency to turn the puck over and can be maddening at times, but I still want that threat in the lineup over Bollig. I have to wonder what Bowman Jr. thinks about the move since Stalberg was one of his first trades and a guy he specifically targeted.

CC hasn't given up a "softie" since the Detroit series. As they say, it's a fast game and the other guys want to win too.

It's easy to complain from your sofa. If you're lookin' for perfection, better stop watching hockey because you will always be disappointed.

Without CC the Hawks are down 2, or better yet not even in the finals.

Because he turns the puck over constantly at the blueline resulting in odd man rushes....he also cant finish...
