Calgary in this case...if the Avs take Jones I assume the offer will be presented to Florida. Calgary would take Nate 1st I think so to them its the same thing

If that report is true, my plan, if I'm Darcy, is try to get in the top-5 before the draft, and then see if Colorado will take the #5+ for #1. If not you still get one of Drouin, Barkov, or Nichuskin. Not exactly booby prizes.

Agreed. MacKinnon is the guy people should be after. Jones is Pronger and Weber without hte physicality, which is basically a waste of a first overall pick. You can't teach physical instinct, and Jones has zero of that. MacKinnon is a franchise center, something that doesn't come along every day. I'd love to see Calgary start the rebuild with MacKinnon.
