Porter is probably going to be buffalos best bottom 6 player in a long time. hecht was good. scott is irellevant to this. Gerbe is exactly what you described, someone they gave all the time in the world to develop and he didnt turn out.
ellis the only one that really fits this point.
defensively, on a team full of people who are shoddy defensively, do you really want brennan being on the team over pardy, mcnabb, etc..?
anyone who complains about brennan being traded is just looking for something to complain about - robz228
A third line Next year of Larsson-Porter-Girgensons sounds pretty damn good to me. All 3 can play center and wing. |

Brennan might turn out to be nothing. Probably will be out of the league on 2 years. But after 5 years of development, why do you not let him play the rest of the season? - sbroads24
because you Pysyk is better and they needed room for him and were able to get a pick instead losing all of that time for nothing? I don't know and at the end of the game I don't think it matters either way. |

Yes I want Brennan there more. Pardy literally did nothing but take bad penalties. I don't see the big deal with him, doubt he gets resigned. I could care less how bad Brennan was, they wasted 5 years on developing him to just not even play him. It's stupid IMO |

I like that in 2 years
give larsson and Z another year to work out somethings. NO sense rushing them up to kill confidence. |

There was an interview that has me all juiced for Girgensons right now. Matthew Coller(SP?) and Sal Capaccio, two of the better WGR guys, did a segment. Coller said Girgensons is our best AHL prospect hands down. It was a really good segment, and like I said I am all pumped up about him.
Said he would not trade Girgensons straight up for the number 1 pick. I know its an overstatement, but he said you dont trade guys like that. The Next Bergeron, or Datsyuk in terms of defensive ability and dedication.
He also said he talked to vet Players off the record who said Girgs game is very polished. |

Let Z develop another year in the AHL at the center position. Let his contract slide. |

Seems to be a rare instance that keeping a guy in the AHL to learn has actually paid off. (so far) |

they could play him and not re-sign him at the end of the season because he sucked.. or they could trade him now and get something for him..
considering they got a late pick I am pretty sure it doesn't matter either way. I don't think it is worth getting pissed over. |

because he isnt good. its only a story because he was stuck in a bad spot on his 2nd contract and couldnt be stored away in the minors where he belongs.
how many players have developed for so long in similar situations and we dont give a poop about because they were only ever in rochester? Is anyone's butt hurt if we trade Schiestel? same calibur hockey player same amount of time wasted developing him but he never got in the nhl to see that he wasnt an nhl player and is replaceable
