Sure
Not psyched about Strome though, so Id try & move him for a pick between 4-6
If I'm adding a Center to the group we already have,
I want either Barkov or Lindholm
Otherwise, we need help on defense & at the wing more IMO - jdfitz77
All the Calgary guys want Monohan at 6, and I want Lindholm. Thank you for making me not feel like an idiot. |

I dont think Philly is an option, if they buy out Bryz, I think they roll the dice with Mason and just let what he can do - DDM-Coga[/quote]
the flyers will not risk missing the playoffs for a 2nd time
they will trade for some one or sign smith i think |

I'm certain we'd take on half of Miller's and Vanek's cap hit to make them more attractive and get teams up against the cap involved
It'll get us a much better return - jdfitz77
I think Vanek should be kept, and re-signed, and be the leader for the new core. He is worth keeping as a Sabre and retiring as a Captain. A little surprised Buff fans don't seem to see that. I understand Miller, but Vanek is a guy you can build around. |

Miller could get the 15th + DP's buyout. Not a bad idea.
I don't think Vanek gets a 1st + + though. UFA and high number and all that. - FLflames34
No I dont think Vanek would get you that, not with the lower cap this season. He can get a first and a roster player with a 3-4million cap hit just to take the ease of absorbing his contract. |

I can't see any way Philly goes with Mason as #1
They at least would sign Backstrom or Smith
Philly wants to compete EVERY year
This past season was an embarrassment for them, and I think they do everything possible to get back to the playoffs ASAP
That might not mean they go after Miller,
But I'm positive they'll make moves |

But I think Mason played pretty well with them, in his 7 Starts, GAA 1.90 SV.944,
and the flyers having a healthier D Core in front of him, I dont think its that far fetched of an idea. If they dont have to buyout Bryz this summer to be under the cap. They will play those 2 again, and buy out Bryz next summer if Mason becomes the number 1 |

I pretty much agree with all of this. Mason is their guy...if it doesn't work, they will trade in-season.
Bryz will be bought out, and with any luck, the universe lands in the KHL.
Mason was kind of screwed a bit by C-Bus and their D-deficiencies, and the yr they figured it out, Bob (ironic) was there to back it up. Too bad for Philly, Bob is still the better goalie and they should never have traded him. |

It's not like Monahan sucks or anything
Plus he's bigger than Lindholm and Canadian...
I can totally understand your fan base wanting him more
Plus, I'm sure most have gotten to see him play since he's a WHL guy
Lindholm they prob only know from scouting reports for the most part
Either way,
You'd get a good player
I just happen to really like Lindholm |

Buff is f-ed like Calgary is, so my picks would apply either team:
5-Nickushkin
7-Lindholm/Monohan (depending on who is on the board)
8-Zadorov
11-Ristorailen
14-Burakovsky
16-Mantha
19-Fucale |

I have always liked Mason, I thought he just needed a fresh start. I can see him really start to be a legit number 1 in a season or 2. I wanted the Avs to trade for him before the whole Varly thing went down. Would have been a heck of a lot cheaper trade |

I'd be shocked, but I guess we'll see
Would u feel confident you'd get into the playoffs with Mason as your #1?
I sure wouldn't
7 games is way too small a sample size to not do anything else in net, no matter how good he looked |

You left out Calgary. If Ramo flounders next yr, I could see Feaster trying to pry Miller and re-sign him until Brossoit develops. He and Regeir seem to be on good terms.
I see Miller going to Pitt though. Just do. And the only way he does is if Fleury + come back. And since there is no 1st rounder, it would have to be either Letang or Maataa. I say Letang due to Buff's cap space.
Appreciate what you are saying, but I think Miller will re-sign for a similar cap number to current if they go on another run. Seems like a guy that wants to be on a winner versus cashing in on another rebuild. - FLflames34
i dont think he would accept to go to calgary one of his 8 teams, he would want to go to a playoff team
no chance miller could get letang in a one for one trade, letang is a top point producer on defense and will get a big return if he moves, not a guy that could leave after one season, he would easily get a 1st and at least 1 top prospect alone
if its miller for fleury then pitts could include a good prospect and mid pick but i doubt it would be much more than that for someone with 1yr left |

7- Lindholm (I really think u guys take Monahan)
8- Nurse (like him a lot better than Zadorov)
11- Ristolainen
14- Erne
16- Mantha
19- trade to LA for Bernier |

He'll probably get the same return Staal did, maybe more considering the competition and whether or not Pit gives the other team a window to negotiate a contract.
8th
Ennis
insert decent prospect here.
Edit: Didn't Shero already say that Fleury isn't going anywhere? |

Fucale at 19. Need a goalie in 3 yrs. This draft is absolutely stacked though. The team with the most picks in the first rd is going to win a cup in 5 yrs. So far, Calgary is doing good with 3 of em. |

Not huge on Morrissey
Santini intrigues me though
No need to take Wennberg if we get Lindholm IMO,
But he'll prob be pretty good too, so it's not like I'd hate it
Horvat I'm not as psyched about either
He's prob a low-1st if not for that playoff run, and it always makes me nervous when a guy jumps so high bc a great play during a small sample size |
