Yup he is the best player in the league. The canadian bias is showing. If Ovie had a superstar like Malkin to carry his team when he gets injured, then he wouldn't be an MVP. Crosby gets injured every year. Durability is also a skill. Ovie played with a broken foot in the playoffs. 3 MVP's and 3 Ted Lindsay's. Enough said.

Canadian bias really, if that was the case OV would not have won considering most of the idiots that vote on that award are Canadian.
Beginning and end of the whos better is OV no cups as cap, Sid 1 cup Cap

So what is Washington going to do now that they don't have the weakest division in hockey to beat up on

Hall had 50P in 45GP shooting at a career low 10.4%. Was +5 on a team that was -9.

Tavares had 47P in 48GP shooting 4.5% higher than his career average. Was -2 on a team that was even.

Not at all saying Hall should have been a hart candidate, but he had a better season than Tavares and wasn't top 30 in hart voting.

Tavares led his team to a post season, Hall led his team to the same old result of the past 4-5 years. Remove Hall from Edmonton and where do they finish? Remove Tavares from NYI and where do they finish?

I am not sure how Crosby is nominated for heart. Should have been Bob the goalie, Tavares and Ovi.

Remove Hall from Edmonton, they are dead last by a long ways. Remove Tavares from New York, they are middle of the pack and miss the playoffs.

Good point, just like it should not have been MVP for the last 20 games when Ovi decided to play
- NYI_since_72

So Ovi scored 32 goals while deciding to play in only 20 games ? At that pace, he DEFINITELY deserved the Hart. If he decides to play the entire season next year, he might score 100 goals (and then those who hate him will revert to the previously-used "anyone could score __ goals if they shot the puck as much as Ovi" to downplay his candidacy).

It will be interesting. On paper, they are as good as anyone in the new division other than Pittsburgh IMO. If Kuznetsov decides to come over next year after the KHL season, watch out.

Totally agree, I might hate her, but Sid is the best, not even close

Regular season, he was the best. Give me Bergeron in the post-season, though (and perhaps Krejci, for that matter). Since winning the Cup in 2009 (which is obviously a big deal), the Pens/Crosby in the playoffs have looked a lot like the Boudreau Capitals.
