I realize I'm dreaming here, and prob totally crazy, bc there's no way ALL this happens... But here goes anyways...

#7 for Sekera, Stafford, 2nd
#5 for Myers
Vanek (pay half his salary) to Cbus for #14 + #19
Miller (pay half his salary) to Phoenix for #12 +
We take Bryzgalov from Philly, buyout & they give us #11... We give them back _______ (2nd?)
Same thing with DiPietro. We also get #15 & give up ______ (2nd?)

Gives us...
5- Barkov
7- Lindholm
8- Nurse
11- Ristolainen
12- Shinkaruk
14- Mantha
15- Erne
16- trade to LA for Bernier
19- Santini

Future Depth chart:
LW.............. Center......... RW.
Girgensons... Barkov......... Armia
Erne............ Grigorenko... Shinkaruk
Ennis........... Lindholm...... Mantha
Ott.............. Hodgson....... Flynn
Foligno......... Larsson........ Tropp
Catenacci...... Kea............. Kaleta

LHD........ RHD............ Goalie
Nurse..... Ristolainen... Bernier
Ehrhoff... Santini......... Enroth
McCabe... Pysyk.......... Hackett
McNabb... Leduc.......... Ullmark
Weber..... Ruhwedel..... Makarov

Again,
I know it's kinda crazy... Alright, very much so...
But that is some organizational depth the likes of which we'd almost certainly produce a team that would challenge for the cup for a decade or so

Hahaha,
Ya, I know...
I do think four 1sts is very possible though
Any of those deals could happen though, or at least something close to what I suggested

- jdfitz77

We have the tools to have 5 first rounders. If we use our second rounder, Stafford, Vanek, Miller. Even if miller and vanek are traded for picks in the teens, they will get the pick + a top prospect in return.

Who's Martin?

EDIT
Hahaha... Nvmd, I realize it's Marincin's first name...
I actually really like Musil
Keep Schultz & add in him and I do it

- jdfitz77

Oilers would be thrilled to trade Musil over Marincin. Good thing you aint the GM, Musil cant skate for (frank) all. But...if you insist.

I personally would not but many Buffalonians would, Myers had an off year because he was lazy during the lockout and consistently had to workout on his conditioning during the season rather then working on his skills. Myers still has the potential to be a #1 defenseman.

Ott is a hardworking great leader who I think should be captain. He is the perfect guy for the young kids to look up to during a rebuild.

I would love 7th overall, but other then those guys and prospects, i'd be open to trading almost anything.

The only non- prospects I wouldnt want to give up are: Myers, Weber, Ott, Ehrhoff. Eveyone one else im open to moving.

- Djtyczy

Of course. Myers has so much potential to get back on track.I'm not suprised with the conditioning thing. It's easy for big guys like that to get a bit fat, and as for Ott, the Oilers would want for those same leadership qualities, not to mention the sandpaper he plays with.
Some of the more rediculous offers Buffalo fans have suggested to Edmonton were Miller and Vanek. Vanek is something we have in spades,IMO, and Miller just isn't the same. Not saying he isn't an upgrade over Dubey, but the cost we keep hearing is rediculous. Dubey and a 2nd or a prospect is about all the Oil would do.

Miller only makes sense for u guys if you can add a couple more pieces now do that u can make a run at the cup, because if it's just a run to the playoffs, and then Miller walks... U didn't really accomplish all that much

I applied for a job with the Oilers on line about 10 years ago. Apparently my experience in a Grocery Store didn't qualify me for the VP of Hockey Operations position.

Exactly. And how long would anyone want to commit to Miller at this stage of the game, even if he was willing to sign an extention?

I want any picks 3-5. the higher ones will cost too much. I would really like to get ahold of nich or drouin. Unless we include larsson or another center prospect. Then Id be down for barkov.

5 years-ish

But that's for a team tht obviously thinks they can win in that time
And they need an upgrade in Goal

Philly is an obvious choice
Islanders, Colorado, Minnesota, St.Louis, Pittsburgh, Toronto and Washington seem to be other possible options IMO

Uh.Ok. If you say he has 5 good years left as an effective starter then I'll take your word for it. I would rather take a 2 year chance on Tim Thomas...provided he is still in shape.

Miller has elite goaltender talent. Honestly if he wasnt on buffalo this past season, we would be picking 1st and arguing about picking MacKinnon Drouin or Jones. He kept us in so many games, got us to overtime, and gave us the points we didnt want lol.

Im finally figuring out a pricel for 3rd, i wouldn't pay for it tho. Tampa has their superstars at forward, I bet buffalo would have to give up 8 16 and pysyk. Tampa gets at least 2 top prospect defenseman, and they pick up a talented forward. I personally dont think 3rd is worth that during a rebuild, but for those wondering what 3rd would cost, thats what is costs. I dont think 2nd is available, flordia will just take MacKinnon at 2.
