Well I don't live in PA & I don't live in Edmonton but I know the Alberta capital is much better than the Home of the Raiders.

Although lake country kicks the poop out of Alberta's lake country.

Not much in the way of lakes out here... they're more like big-ass sleughs

Of course you wood, that's why the Oilers will never attain anything of value because you seem to think you can give up poop to get stars.

Thank Christ you're not the GM!!

- newmy

the oilers will never be a good team cause a poster on HB would rather give a 2nd than prv?

I thought MacTavish said there would be some changes to the roster? Getting rid of dead weight really isn't "making changes to your roster". How are the Oilers going to make changes if they aren't willing to trade assets?

If the Oilers can get a great DEF prospect or an up and coming NHL ready DEF, why wouldn't the Oilers trade RNG? Gotta give something to get something...

I don't think trading Eberle or Hall is the answer.

- brisc101

I think the changes will be via, the letting go of FAs like Jones, Sh*tney, Petrell, Hordichuk, Teubert, Peckham, Fistric, and Smithson. The buying out of 2 of Horcoff, Belanger, and Eager. The dealing away of Hemsky.

Why would EDM trade their #1C? He just played an entire season with a torn labrum and EDM made him keep playing until they were officially eliminated. That should show people he's not a bandaid. 1Cs are not easy to come by. Ask leafs fans. Hall-Nuge-Eberle have ridiculous chemistry. None should be dealt. But if the chance for a young top pairing/#1D came, I'd deal Eberle. Not Nuge. He's gonna be Datsyuk lite.

I find there to be a lot of nice lakes in AB. Certainly nicer in BC, but still quite good lake territory in AB.

I'm lukewarm on Jonesy. I like his effort most nights, and overall I think he brings a little bit ofe everything. I would prefer a guy just like him but with a stronger element somwhere, whether it be agitating, hitting, scoring or even intimidating...anything really

I wouldn't sign him back until he passed some serious eye and hand-eye coordination tests. He might be the next Manny Malholtra.

I saw BBC at the Northlands Horse track tonight dressed up like a baaaaad baaaaad hipster... royal blue pants, slightly les blue jacket, fedora and white glasses... if my wife wasn't complaining to get home I wanted to ask him where he thought he'd be in October...

Did he look like a fat (frank) or does he look like he's in shape again? I don't even know if he deserves another chance. We really needed him this year and his fitness was atrocious. I don't see him fitting into the Eakins game plan at all

He's a moron. What bubble player sits around for half a year eating KFC just because there is a lock out? I heard he was so bad in the ECHL that they asked him to politely (frank) off.

He said that the lockout ended at a bad time for him (right after Christmas). What kind of professional athlete doesn't keep themself in shape year round anyway? I hope we either trade his rights or let him walk without giving him a qualifying offer.

I guess he never got a call from Eakins about the fitness like the rest of the guys cause he's not in the plans anymore. Serves him right. I'll still always remember him kicking Claude Lemieux's ass though.

I generally never try the full monty like this cause there's so may variables. but I don't think ive far fetched much as far as guys that could potentially be interested in edm. and still given every FA a decent-healthy raise depending

and I really think this is a very solid, bigger, tougher, more talented lineup.
myers is kinda the key

I don't mind Gunnarsson but Kulemin had a poop year and who knows if he recovers before he walks as a UFA next summer. How bout Colburne, Franson, and 21st for 7th, Musil, and Hartikainen's rights

- Ihatebrianburke

Kulemin has good possession stats, has a sick wrister, is a fast skater, and he's great defensively. Lacks physicality and is kinda inconsistent, but he'd at least be a 20-20 guy with Nuge and Eberle.

No remember, I said the younger ones are a turn off cause they are morons, lack experience or any use of common sense, and their prefrontal cortex's are not fully developed, meaning they do not yet have the ability to think of consequences of actions before they make them. Sooooooooo not into that dude. So stop wishing I was and trying to flatter yourself you little CD!!!

I agree. RNH is small but don't forget this time last year we were upset he didn't get rookie of the year because he had the same points and missed 20 games.

Why get rid of Eberle though? Who are we trying to get that we need to trade a 23 year old with his talent? He has already shown he is good for signing long term reasonable contracts. That whole line and Yak could be our Sedins. Or if we are going to trade him, don't do it coming off a losing year where he played injured.

I do see some merit in putting Duchene and him together though. I wonder if they saw the same at the world cup. Eberle is a go to guy with a big wrist shot but what is he worth to Colorado? Number 1 overall + a player. Maybe Lands, or Varlamov and a prospect/pick (Rumours are they are shopping for an upgrade), Maybe statsny?(If we could extend him at a reasonable price after next year.

Many people saw what he could do and maybe the offers are too good. EVERY player has a price. Eberle's might be the first pick and Lands. There are numerous offers that work for him but I don't see the Oilers ever getting their asking price on the young guys.

Klefbom's asking price, maybe. Would you trade him for a top 3 this year? All seem NHL ready. They are going to be Jones, Drouin, Mackinnon or Nich in some order. I think we could find a spot for any of those on or roster next year. Everyone has a price. There are no untouchables, there are just people other teams aren't willing to pay our asking price for.
