I think all those guys will get regretable contracts this summer. - Jeropotato
id happily pay clowe 4.6 for 3/4 years if we could convince him of that.
id be good with bickell @3.5 for the same term.
I think the intangibles they provided could still make the contract palatable even if the offensive contribution tailed off abit |

A super pest with size that could score. A rare player. A piece of poop, but something we could sure use - Ihatebrianburke
Marchand is Claude 2.0. Maybe a little less crazy.
When you fire up the time machine, grab dale hunter circa 92-93ish to ride shotgun with the kids too. Loved watching that mean bastard back in his capitals days. |

I think you send horcoff the other way but retain half of his salary. I don't know what the original offer was for Campbell tho, so I'm not saying horcoff for Campbell straight up. But effectively it's only an additional 1.5 mill cap hit for a couple years. - ystoil
if edm were to acquire campbell from florida, i would absolutely send horcoff back, otherwise minimum hemsky and another one year contract remaining or even n. schultz, not to retain half of anybody's salary. i would add a pick or prospect on top of any of those deals. |

Those types are rare. Pretty good in the regular season, money in the playoffs. It's not just the irritating bullpoop, those guys have always been out there (J Ruutu,Cooke,Avery), it's the scoring. Even still, with or without the clutch goals, we could use an annoying (frank)er to throw goalies off and draw penalties. The only real problem with having a guy like that is the diving. |

Horcoff would actually help Florida,I think. All depends if the cash differential is enough to balance the deal. |

He didn't get hurt last year.
Mac T showed no loyalty to Krueger. Really, he owed him nothing since he didn't hire him but if he shook it up with a new coach, why not do the unexpected and get a new #1. He doesn't want to win in 2-3 years. He clearly wants to start winning now. Price makes sense and needs a change of scenery. Otherwise they should go hard after Smith. Backstrom isn't a big enough upgrade on Dubnyk but Smith most certainly is. - therealagent
we could get Patrick roy and barely make the playoffs next year, stick with dubynuk for another full year and if he doesn't make improvements then go for another goalie but he wasn't the reason we lost. get him some solid D and then we ll know if hes good or not but I bet he will turn in2 a good goalie here or on another team |

EDM: Klefbom, Hemsky
? - Oilers4Life14
PHX isn't trading him unless you massively overpay ... His value to them is comparable to any of your kids
Would you trade hall , eberle , RNH , yak for that? |

ppl keep saying trade the kids myself included but im just making convo plus I think we need that top D b4 this team excels, if the oilers wouldn't trade horcoff or hemsky do u really think they'll give up on the kids already? the oilers will live or die with these kids. |

100%,bubba. For now, anyways. I doubt seriously that any of the kids get traded in the next season or more, but in a couple years? Who knows what our depth chart looks like. Maybe Khairi (sp) or some other prospect yet to be acquired turns out to be a great top 6 winger on the right side. Not saying he could be better than Yak, but it could make it possible to move Yak or Ebs or whomever for other needs. For now. They are the nucleus, and I doubt they get (frank)ed with. |

Nope. Probably go for a different type of top 4 D-Man anyway. |

Do you think Jones has any upside? I think we say the best he had to offer before the lock out. With the right Center he could be a good complimentary player for sure. |

I think he has shown a lot and with injuries and a shortened season I think hes worth signing for a year or two and find out, not a huge contract to worth about plus watching him on oil change really seems like he wants to b here and with Edmonton having a hard time getting ppl here its nice to c ppl that want to b here. with the losing culture almost gone we need players with drive plus remember a guy named Curtis glencross that was giving away for nothing boy would he b awesome to have now. I think the risk is worth the reward with jones |

Marchand couldn't play the same game he does in Boston on our team. There he has Lucic, Chara, Horton, Campbell, Thorton, McQaid, and Boychuk to all watch his back and stick up for him. Here who would protect him? Smid and Brown. He would get his ass whooped trying to play that kind of game here. |

He's a good goalie but he needs to stop letting in all the weak ass goals he does. Its good that it doesn't seem to phase him, but to become a true #1 he needs to cut that down bigtime. |

The only way I ever see Rajala on the Oilers is if Eberle or Yak is moved for a defenseman |

If someone is playing with Nuge and Ebs they better get a lot more points than 20-20 - Ihatebrianburke
Dont expect too much. He wouldnt get prime PP minutes and would likely be the net front presence. Also, notice the "at least". Id think closer to 50 points on avg. but 40 pts is acceptable for his role. Kunitz and Dupuis were only getting 50ish points/year playing with Crosby or Malkin. |

eberle or yak, yes. Although I bet PHX wouldn't do that. OEL will be a top 10 D man in the league in no time, and he's signed to a great deal |

Gunnerson for MPS?? - Byfuglien Ate Me
Yes. But TO wouldn't/shouldn't do that. Gunnarsson>MPS, and TO's D depth is as bad as EDMs |
