I think he predicted that before the fact though. I don't think he's a total blockhead, just pretty arrogant and full of himself. that's why its so great to tear him apart when he makes handicap predictions like that one

we'll go after a cheaper backup or someone that can compete with dubnyk, but that's as far as we'll go for goaltending.

we'll use our assets like the 7th to go after much bigger needs like defence. guaranteed

pysyk is interesting, but not enough. and a throw in shouldn't interest mact much either.

I do think the Sabres like him quite a bit though
He's really talented, and improved nicely this past year posting career high in points even w the short schedule
His defensive zone work needs to get better,
But he works w Gary Roberts in the off-season, so I have no doubt that will improve
A young talent like that, and he's willing to work hard in the offseason to get better... That's prob not a guy u wanna trade away

if barkov or nichushkin are there, expect edm to jump. but there's next to zero chance that happens.

Monahan is certainly possible, but I think he has a few questions as to his drop off right after ceci got traded. plus I think cgy takes him anyway

Stafford a couple years ago maybe. right now, hes a sideways move for us. and yes id be interested in sekera. but not as the main piece plus some throw ins for the 7th.

smid's some of the only 'snarl' we have. cant afford to lose him really.

besides, Schultz isn't a huge step down from him anyway.
