Id rather take a gamble on luongo or lecav to KEEP with the leafs, with tampa or the nucks giving us something tangible for taking that contract away from them.

If they buy out DiPietro, couldn't they just get an accountant to post all the money in 2013-14, thus reducing the Leafs' profitability, and therefore lowering the revenue sharing payments they have to make to the rest of the league?

Did the 3rd overall pick yesterday, only 1 was a legit franchise guy over the past 13 years, and one other was an elite player. Lot of busts in there too believe it or not. But I agree, it ain't happening.

I'm not opposed to just picking at 21, some star players are picked in the 20's. Perry, Kesler, M. Richards, Giroux, blah, blah, blah.

He will: BuyOut Komi and Vinny. Draft Drouin. Sign Bozak to a 3 year deal at 5 per if Richards isn't bought out. Bring in Bryz as the Backup , and Pay Clarkson the 6 mil per he wants after the bidding war.
