Teams like tampa, isles, and nucks want to get rid of those long contracts through trade, but will have to give up a key asset for say a team like toronto to take on or buy out for them.

Teams like philly and rangers can easily get rid of guys like bryz or richards by buying them out instead of trading them away with assets
