Panach Johnny on the Spot as usual. It's a shame realizing that Read likely isn't in their long term plans. Can't pay everyone. I think that's a big reason they're bringing in guys like Raffl and Straka into the organization.

Big draft coming up!

Bryz really is a genious. He's going to receive 27 million for doing nothing but ramble on about Stalin and freeloading Philadelphians.

The 35+ issue with Streit is minor. He's only played 491 NHL games to this point. Lots of players continue to play at a high level at 35 or older.

Totally agree and please sign Joacquim Eriksson before the deadline

Briere less of a genius with all that talk of wanting to stay. What was he thinking?

Why would he retire after signing a 1-year extension?

He might be on the Nick Lidstrom/Teemu Selanne plan.

I'm guessing every year going forward, he'll see how he feels at the end of it and if he wants to put his body through another year.

If he has a solid year and doesn't get dinged up too much, I can very much see a scenario where he returns.

How much do you think it would cost to trade for Miller from Buffalo? He hasn't been that good lately and they have Enroth waiting in the wings

Change of topic, but I had fun thinking of it...

Who do you hate more... Matthew Barnaby, Tie Domi, Sean Avery, or Darcy Tucker.

Personally I've always hated Andrew Peters because not only was he stupid, he was stupid looking. Then I've also always hated Chris Neil, the tough guy who never fought other tough guys.

That pick just keeps looking better and better.

Even with him developing they should take a Tristan Jarry or Spencer Martin in the draft. Continue to build all around depth within the system.

I believe Giroux comes in at 6 mil per, or close to it. Length to be determined. He will take a hometown discount......guaranteed.

Not a chance. You're looking at something close to Ryan Getzlaf $$$.

Yep...I will be amazed if it's a penny less than $7.5M per season, for eight.
