that goes without saying though....acquiring Miller doesnt mean you think you can win the Cup next year, it means you acknowledge you need a good goalie. - Homer
With Enroth feeling good about himself and his game after the the World Championships, how is he going to feel if the Sabres keep Miller? Plus, what do teams get for FA, franchise goalies at the trade deadline? I can't recall the last one traded at the deadline. I want Miller traded, he is just going to keep the Sabres from getting the high draft picks they will need to rebuild correctly, have them drafting 8-10 every year when the team is actually a lower bottom feeder. |

agreed, but Varly has the tools to be a very good goalie and he's shown it at times, his biggest problem is consistency. Luckily he has one more year on a decent cap hit and will only be a RFA at the end of it. No need to be impatient so might as well see what he can do under Roy and the newly hired goalie coach Francois Allaire. What I think people are really missing though is that Giguere has a NMC so the while the Avs could trade Varly, it would make little to no sense to trade for 1 year of Miller and potentially lose both goalies after next season... |

Vanek wants to go, Miller is open to staying. Van has already turned down a very nice extension, one that I would never offer him and I like the guy. - Homer

I hope we take him if hes there. Glad to see we agree on Shinkaruk. - theblueandgold
My word, it sounds like you'd draft a melon before taking Shinkaruk I bet if they had to choose between Lindholm and Ristolainen (the two assumed BPA guys at 8) they'd probably take Ristolainen. I really have no solid argument for it other than the fact that it just seems like a Darcy type pick |

This whole Miller for the 1st really has to stop. All deals involving the 1st overall pick will probably have to include Myers + 8th and you build from there. You never ever trade the 1st overall pick for a goalie coming off a down year, they would be ridiculed for it. |

if Lindholm is not there you take him at 8 .
- gerbe75pts
from what I've heard, if we stay at 8, I doubt we will take him.
- Homer - rustbelt82
yes, exactly. If Lindholm is not there you take him (Hunter) at 8.
when I said him that means Hunter, not Lindholm |

There are at least 10 players I'd take ahead of Shinkaruk. |

Miller would basically be a throw in for a trade for the 1st overall, he definitely wouldn't be one of the primary components. |

I respect your opinion, but i disagree with you. Myers is an untouchable, col already knows that. Guarantee darcy shut tht down asap. The deal is going to be around miller. I really believe so. It makes perfect hockey sense. Miller will the focal come draft day. Watch |

Grigs + Myers+8+Miller
MacKinnon is an upgrade over Grigs, so those who say you can't put him and Myers in the same deal have to see that. |
