Didn't Tyson blow that guy up in 1 punch, knock him down again with the second punch, and the trainer then stopped the fight? I don't think McNeeley shocked anyone, and I don't think he KO'd Tyson. So not only are you incorrect about hockey, but boxing too

Not a real "Hurricane"

This!
8th plus Myers is alot to give up for Duchene!
You could very well have a player as good as Duchene with the 8th pick this year!

- Sabresfan88

Regier is in fear of trading guys and then they'll succeed so I highly doubt he moves Myers at this point. TP gave it to TyMy straight and hopefully that sunk in. It's probably killing Regier knowing that he has to move Vanek and probably Miller.

True!
According to Homer, you are right on with this.
Also, it does not make sense to trade Myers at this point of time.
He might, just might start to play up to his potential,IMO. I hope he does!

Homer is one of a select few that are spot on, however, we speculate that his source is now no longer employed by the sabs

I do this if we are aquiring a higher pick in another trade. But that probably won't happen.

It's good when Homer shows back up because he provides us with the reality check that is needed. That reality is that Darcy is a moron and he will NOT get a significant deal done at the draft - we will then get a boring brand of hockey with a bunch of kids all year and not really achieve anything.

I bet Vanek can't wait to get out and I can't blame him.

Florida offering season tickets for $7 FOR THE SEASON, which includes a jersey and concert tickets to other select events.

Good job NHL, good job.

Yet Ted Black tries to convince us that season tickets had to go up because of the new CBA

well till we know whom the source is its speculation. Unless I forgot him saying that but that would narrow the source down.

And I believe Homer was honestly giving someone's opinion of Regier.

My opinion is that it is a former employee. Homer is sharing past info not current stuff on the draft, free agency interest, and coach hirings.

Couple things here:

1. For those thinking Myers & 8th pick could get Duchene, you're off your rocker. Duchene is untouchable after last season and a Dman that has regressed for 3 straight years and is on an awful contract will not get you anywhere close, and no the 8th doesn't make up for it. A deal based around Stastny and Myers would make more sense as they could both use a change of scenery and have similar cap hits.

2. Avs have no interest in Miller because they are not in win now mode. Yes Miller is better than Varly however Varly is a) only 24, b) still developing with a young still developing team, c) on a much better contract cap wise and still an RFA once that is up. There is no reason to believe that the Avs would take a soon to be 33 year goalie, pending UFA at the end of next season with an unfriendly cap hit at this point in their rebuild...it just doesn't make sense for them at this time.

3. Roy himself as said he will not be moving out of the top 3, maybe top 4. That said, if the Sabres want the #1 overall then they'll have to make 2 trades to get it, first get into the top 3/4 then trade for #1. Otherwise, yes it is going to take a massive offer to get Roy and company to move down to #8, one that I imagine Regier would not do or if he did, Sabre fans would be really pissed about...because here's the thing, even though Jones/Mackinnon hasnt played a game you're still essentially trading for a franchise center/Dman that you'd have at a cap friendly hit for 3 years plus own the rights to for at least another 4 years and an asset like that is not cheap at all, it would actually be one of the most expensive assets you could trade for outside of an established generational/franchise player on a long term contract...

8th and Myers for Duchene? I say no

I bet Colorado would take that deal and run

- rustbelt82

the 8th pick and the worst dman in the NHL last year** for an impact player? Sold!

** in terms of goals allowed per 60 min

BTW the deal to the AVs had included, at one time, included a combination of those names. NOT all of the players for the #1 pick. Sheesh.
