I don't mind him, but I don't get how he is the pinnacle of sports radio personalities in Canada.

Longevity, and he's made lots of friends throughout all major 4 sports.
I do find most of his roundtables more of a forced dialogue, but whenever Melynk is on, the program is pure GOLD!

Ok, they don't watch the news, but I'm sure they've heard much worse about Ford from their parents. Plus Ford's antics have made there way all the way to late night television in the U.S. There's no secrets when it comes to Rob Ford.

You can send it directly to them or I can have them contact you, if you give me a little background info and why you want to blog, I will happily send a recommendation to the admins, I have known you long enough here to make it.
Well, lets see....Rogers (everytime i interview for a sports spot they pass me onto their Healthcare publications), Transcontinental (again, no THN for me, always directing me to their other publications and journals), MLSE communications department (but they pay poop), and Metroland/torstar/sunmedia always send me to their other departments. Writing about business, biotechnology and science has really pigeon holed me. And I'm not getting any younger.
I mean I could just chase the money and go and work in some organizations communications department, but I got into this hoping to do something I loved. - mykokes
Gotcha...well if you truly want to futher your sports writing experience I would email Ek and see if they have a spot for you. Its not as easy as most assume...took me about 10 blogs to convince them to hire me on. Its one thing to write well, but to write about things people care to read is another. Certainly can be challenging to write something about every day and keep it relevant, but I enjoy it when I have the time to commit.

Sorry about that...got busy at work so I was trying to hurry up with a response and consequently didn't go to in depth.
I haven't seen a lot of Gardiner but how is he in the D-zone? We have puck movers young and old but what we really need is a head shaker in the D-zone.
