We never said TB was going to buy him out, TB could possibly trade him to a team which would buy him out....so who's doing the wishing? - JIMI-JAMES
Which that is an even less "likely" scenario. Vinny isn't going anywhere. Toronto or Chicago or anywhere else bloggers can speculate all they want, it's not happening.
I wasn't saying wishlist to be an ass, just being realistic. Vinny's not going to get bought out by anyone. Also, Vinny has a NMC which makes your scenario even less plausible. |

See that funny little bump on your arm?
That's from the polio vaccine.
Science virtually eradicated it from the Western world.
Before the polio vaccine, it was not a good time if you got polio. Especially if you were a child. It caused malformities.
That's medical advances increasing quality of life. - Atomic Wedgie
Have you ever watched a documentary called "the origin of aids". Basically claims during experimentation for polio vaccine, scientists used the kidney of a certain type of monkey which contained SIV, the cousin to HIV.
The first reportings of HIV were all within 5 mile radius of the camp in africa where an american scientist set up shop administering polio vaccine trials to africans. |

Can we talk US Open?
Looks like it's going to be a brutal day.
Mike Weir started the day at around #55. He's now #26 - because he hasn't teed off yet.
Yeah, I'm a sick bastard - I like to see this guys struggle. So much more interesting than seeing a guy drive it to 120 yards from the pin, throw a dart with his pitching wedge to 4 feet from the hole and then drain it for birdie. - Atomic Wedgie

you realise that if Vinnie is aware he's being traded with the purpose of being bought out, he's a UFA who can then choose anyteam he wants other than the team that bought him out?...including TB? |

I'm probably going to agree with your first paragraph, but c'mon, it's the dog days of June - we need to talk about something (ffs, look at the past 10 pages of this blog!).
As for the second paragraph, Vinny would abso-effing-lutely love to be bought out. Any player would. 2/3 your salary, and you are instantly a free agent.
Hell, according to our scenario, he wouldn't even have to pack his dishes - accept the trade, have MLSEL fax the buyout to his oceanside home, sign it and fax it back. Then have his agent phone Stevie Y and work out a new deal with the Bolts.
He'd be drinking beers on the patio at Gators by 4 pm.
That's good work if you can get it. |

Would make sense in terms of personalized medicine. Not all medicines are one size fits all, and since aids is related to RNA, why not. Oops. Science isn't perfect, lol. |

The real issue I think is Lightning fans don't want to give up the 3rd overall pick. The question isn't what they want though, its what management wants and the gms job to facilitate. Anyways, its all moot.

If you had managed to introduce the idea that steroids in the feed of cattle are making their way into milk, which caused Scarlett Johannsen to...ahem...develop in a certain way, you would have been nominated for an Eksy Award. |

I started reading through and saw some posts about Vinny and Richards being bought out which is why I posted. No I didn't read the past 10 pages but I would scan one or two posts and see it was still talk about bananas and other crap so the scanning got quicker and quicker
Regarding any buyout of Vinny I just don't see it happening, and certainly not some scenario that has the #3 pick going with Vinny so he can be bought out. In a few years when the cap goes up Vinny's $7M cap hit won't be as anchorish as it is now.

just stop
when you (frank) with food there will be side effects.. we just dont know what they are yet.
truth is. humans are from earth.. therefore what the earth grew on its own should be sufficient.
i am not saying you are wrong.. but if you can eat fresh or even better, organic. you're doing yourself a favour.
i feel a hundred times better from eating 80% organic and local fresh in just 2 years.. i get sick less.. my body is more responsive. my mind more alert.. everything.
i am not saying be an organic consuming hippie.. but try to eat as natural as possible - Dozzer
Eating organic means you're avoiding a lot of the other things I mentioned as issues... not just avoiding GMOs.
Is it unnatural to graft a branch from one tree onto another to make a hybrid fruit? Hell yea. And that's been happening for centuries if not millennia. GMOs are just a far more precise version of that.

Of course we would, we're bored! But everyone that has run with it, recognizes that its very unlikely. I even remember one mentioning Taveres. At the same time, hockey deals stopped making sense when the cap came into play. I'm still scratching my head about the Erik Cole for Mike Ryder trade. |

I guarantee that Yzerman doesn't want to give up the #3 pick in some buyout scenario either. Only way the #3 pick moves is for a young NHL-ready d-man. |

But by then, he'll be old and slow and it will be a horrible contract.
An effing horrible contract.
I'm not saying he will be bought out.
But you shouldn't say he 100% won't be bought out, either.
He's top ten in the league for compliance buyout possibilities. |

But he reports to the guys paying his cheques. It comes down to what your management wants. Sorry, I just realized the confusion, the management i talk of is really ownership and the board of directors. Stevie Y can say "we'll be trading a potential franchise player" and the guys paying his cheque would simply respond, we've had two franchise players here for 3 years, will another one really save us $20,000,000?
Again though, I don't see the Lightning moving the 3rd overall pick. So I'm not disagreeing with you, just disagreeing with your assertions. |
