I posted the wrong page there. Google failed me. The updated one is the real Barkov. I've made it abundantly clear that I want a winger for Stamkos, but I'm presenting all sides and all options. Would you rather I just post blog after blog on Nichushkin (though apparently he didn't interview well...)?

EDIT - The more I read about Barkov, the more I wonder whether or not he could be that big winger with size until the 2C spot pops open. Just throwing everything out there.

But you're also asking us to take back middle-roster players with significant cap hits. So, if the team were to re-sign Lecavalier, the dollar difference would be near nothing. Giving up the third overall pick in that situation just doesn't make any sense.

I don't think that a Letang, without some promise of an extension, is going to fetch the third overall pick +++. With an extension, he'll fetch far more. Any GM who gives up the farm for an un-signed player isn't being smart. I don't want Letang, so it's a moot point.
