Did anyone else notice how bad Kelly was last night??? constantly out of position (esp on game Winner)

ZERO shots on net in 6 periods of play

-3

I think he has been one of the worst Bruins in the Playoffs.

Seriously thinking if anyone is a compliance BuyOut on this team it's him... not that I am saying they will/should but he's making a lot of money to do very little lately

Ouch ... that 3rd line has been such a blackhole all year.

I agree.

But I also think over the course of a series, the Hawks look like they can put a lot of pressure on the Bruins with any of their four lines. The Bruins not as much. And now it looks like Horton's out, too. The Bruins have a lot left, but the odds do appear in the Hawks favor as long as they keep their foot on the gas—because of their depth.

Am I lost? Haven't pundits repeatedly said that the Bruins strength is their ability to roll four lines, and have that 3rd and 4th line chip in some offense too?

Haven't the 3rd and 4th line actually won games for them in these playoffs?

Oh boy. Anyone claiming dominance for either side after that game deserves a 1 way ticket to crazy town. Neither side played their best game but both sides had their periods of control. Thought the B's were the better team for 1st half of regulation, Hawks for the 2nd and B's had the edge through OT. Bounces happened to go Hawks way but hey, that's how the game goes.

Personally if I had to choose between not being able to handle Shaw & Bolland, or not being able to handle Krejci and Lucic, I know who I'd choose. But maybe that's just me.

Strange because it seems he's an Avs fan?

I know I certainly am not claiming dominance. There's actually a journalist who was on morning radio here claiming the Hawks were "dominated" by the Bruins in the game.... I hate that word.

This should be a good one. Don't think we can start to make any kind of prediction until a home team loses.

It was a terrific game and hopefully will be a great series. Looks like they'll be evenly matched.

Don't care what anyone says, Daugy played a hell of a game. Could he of buried that chance? Sure, but so could a lot of other players.

Also I think you see Bart next game. Krug giveaway...

Daugavins finishes that chance if he doesn't dive to try to get a call. This is one thing the league has to stop, most players would rather try to draw a penalty then actually work to finish a play. Watch Hossa, he plays the game like it should be played. Even if he is getting mugged, he still is skating through the play.
- powerenforcer

What? He thought going to the backhand was the play...it didn't turn out but to say he did that to draw a penalty is just stupid...will give credit to Hossa, but what you think about Shaw head snap? He didn't do that to draw a penalty??

Loved the read, and usually I agree with most of what you say, but...
Wesley was awesome for the B's. I watched that game and as much as it pained me I never could blame the series or the game on him alone.
I hated seeing him go but Samsonov performed pretty well for a couple of years and Wesley was getting long in the tooth.

Go Bruins !!!
Still got B's in 6

All I gotta say is Campbell would have ended the game with that open net.

Chicago is everything the B's can't deal with in this finals. Unless the Bruin's start intentionally taking out the Hawks 3rd and 4th lines, I do not see them winning the Cup. Chicago was better than great all season. They have the depth. "Boston Strong" just met Chicago's Swiss Army Knife. I was picking the Bruin's to do this, but if things keep going to OT and with the attrition that naturally happens during the playoffs. You are not going to win this series. Hawks have depth, and the Q-stache. Boston had it easy up until now, and Chicago was the best team during the regular season for a reason.

You're not playing Toronto. You're not playing the Pens. Chicago is the real deal. Everybody said they were 'too small'. They killed the LA Cup giant. I don't think the Bruins have the depth to beat them now either. You were up 3-1, and you came back against Toronto.

Crawford didn't say no. He said F*CK NO. And the top line was a non-factor tonight. If they figure their shiat out too? You're not going to win a game in this series either.

As a Hawks fan who works for a Boston based company and is in Back Bay every month, I would encourage people not to use "Boston Strong" as a punchline. I have seen a lot of this on the blogs. If you were in Boston for the marathon, or were there for the moment of silence, or saw the runners coming back seeking consolation from therapy dogs, or saw what that murdered policeman's father wrote in chalk on the street near the memorial, people would not be so flip. Not picking on you...or trying to be melodramatic...It just makes my skin crawl when I see it. Boston is a small town, everyone knows each other and this was a horrible tragedy for them. "Boston Strong" should not be fodder for irony and jokes anymore than 9/11 or oklahoma city etc etc. Just my two cents, go Hawks, but much love to my people in Boston.

This is quite likely true.
