Well, not really. I despise to Bruins, obviously, but it's a bit hypocritical to call out a guy like Handzus while cheering for a clown like Marchand.

That doesn't take away Marchand's talent. But if there's one douche currently playing in the Cup Finale, it's him.

Hopefully that goal he scored last night wakes his butt up so he can get out there and be effective again.

The most interesting thing is going to be how both teams respond. Luckily they have a couple days off. The cup final experience should help both teams.

I did, however, curse Marchand at least once for diving and another couple of times for doing dumb stuff that could have been called.

I liked last nights toughness from both teams. Didn't seem dirty, but it did seem tough, which makes for great hockey. This will be the best cup finals in years.

So freaking tired... game ends 2am my time... Up for work at 530.... ugh

I kind of wondered what happened to him, I noticed he kept sliding down the depth chart, I expected him to become a legit 2nd line option.

I had no issue with anything that went on last night at all. The only one I can't stand on the Hawks is Carcillo.

Bolland had been used extensively on the 3rd line before this year, as the excelled in that role. With their lack of depth and wanting keep Sharp and Kane at wing, he was promoted to 2nd line and really struggled during regular season. Then he was hurt and didn't come back until Detroit series, where he was ineffective and demoted to 4th line but it seems he is finally hitting his stride again.

Ty, I understand your bitterness but Glen Wesley is a class act. When the Canes retired his number the entire Bruins team remained on the ice for the ceremony out of respect for him. One low point should not define an entire career.

Great game and a great write up. This game was just a feeling out game and with a couple days for both coaches to make adjustments I believe game two will be the real indicators of how this series will go.

That's it? Boston's done with Krug? It was a poor decision on his part but to bench him for one mistake? I think he still looks pretty solid and hes a real threat from the blueline in O zone. He gets hard shots on net.

It was more than one mistake if you watched the game. Clode is known to keep a short leash on rookies. He might get another shot, but he was getting pushed around out there. Biggest stage of his career, and he looked nervous.

I think he has been one of the worst Bruins in the Playoffs.
