Take away Timonen and the Flyers average age on D is right there with the Oilers, and that's just off the top of my head.

I'm almost positive every dman the Flyers have is under 30 with the exception of Timonen? But who cares about facts, their old as junk guys!

It's ok . Cloutier thinks once someone hits 25 they are old. If he could draft a new team ever 4 years I'm sure he would. Who needs veterans when you can throw another 18 year old out there!

Trust me I have watched many, many Mark Streit (and Gervais ) games over the course of my indentured servitude as an Isles fan. Speaking strictly about their defensive play, it's not exactly worlds apart. Streit obviously brings the offense, but he also comes with an exponentially higher price tag.

I appreciated his time here, but with some of the guys we have on the team/ready to make the jump, I'm also happy to see him move on. Glad he had no issue finding a team that wanted him. However, I can't wait to beat the crap out of him (or anyone) in a Flyers jersey

He's a beast, most people think he tops out as a bottom pairing guy but he's got a ton of untapped potential. One of those guys that's worth way more to us then be would be in a trade

Age - specifically old age - is one of those things that people seem to make unilateral inferences about all the time.

The Flyers, as a whole, are garbage. The Flyers problem, again, is goaltending which has been a problem since the days of Bernie Parent. The Flyers have no hope of making the playoffs next year.

This would be the first thing I see on the Oilers message board. For the record I think you'd have the best 4th line in the NHL

You know what would be interesting... If teams could substitute a player for an extra goalie anytime they want to during the game. Two goalies in net at once would be fantastic stuff.

Its July 5 this year but they have some new rule where you can negotiate with free agents 1 week beforehand. I kinda think that's only UFA's though but I could be wrong
