In light of new events that top line is unattainable...is there any actual confirmed reports that Pelss committed suicide? Just saw this on twitter... - oooilersss
The Edmonton Journal has reported it. Very sad, RIP. Decent prospect. |

I just hope that Mac-T doesn't stoop to the level Glen Sather did when Cherapanov passed away.

That's (frank)ed right up. Didn't even know that. Why the (frank) would they deserve a compensatory draft pick? How did the league agree with him? |

I am still holding out hope that its false. Neither Oilers/Barons websites or twitter have mentioned anything. Guess they just want to be sure considering the circumstances. Twitter is always so sketchy but journal has it from Latvian news agencies so I guess we will know soon enough. Sad indeed. |

It's not confirmed. But it's more than likely. |

My buddy just told me he heard Pelss's parents are sueing the NHL. Something about doctors describing him prescription drugs for concussions.
Edit: I can't find this info anywhere else though. |

Question the direction of the Flyers? Why would I do that?
The Flyers have missed the playoffs fewer times in 44 years than the Oilers have...since 2006.
Winning the cup...no, they haven't won it. That is a true statement. But the point stands that the blogger who wanted the Oilers to acquire Mark Streit is totally unaware that the Flyers' defense is actually as young as Edmonton's...but the Flyers' "needs to add young pieces?"
If I'm sensitive, what are you people who are defending a blogger whose information provided is shoddy at best and who you complain about incessantly yourselves? Or do you think this is the first time I've read posts from you, or anyone else on this site?
I've read you guys for years. Registered months ago. So please, don't act like me calling out your blogger for weak performance is something that is so new and fresh and different that the readership is stunned. - AllInForFlyers
First of all, the Flyers are my favorite team in the East. It was dissappointing that they did not make it this year since last year they were so much fun.
Second, and what originated all this debate: you need to know, if you read Clouts enough that he has a man crush on Streit. He used to mention him as the best thing ever and he wanted him big time in the Oil. Second to that Klefbom, he does not let go a blog without him saying how much potential Klefbom has.
So Clouts is talking "in spite" because Streit did not love him back. That is all, is like when you go and talk to a beautiful girl and she turns you down then you tell all your friends that she is not that cute and that she is stupid... that is all, clouts little heart is hurt and he is taking it with the Flyers D.
Now peace in the neighborhood! None of our teams are in the Play-offs today and that is all that matters. I am however enjoying REAL hockey now by watching these play-offs |

So is it just me or is Shero completely (frank)ed? He won't get rid of Fleury and he just extended Malkin for 9.5 a year. As of next year they will have over 33 million tied up in 5 players without resigning Letang or Kunitz to longterm deals. |

shero will find a way, at the same time edm should inquire about some of penguins assets and see can a deal be made. |

Malkin's overrated. Hall had a better PPG this year than him. He's easily a top 5-6 player in the league, but he disappears every other year. Not worth 9.5M IMO |

No more than Crosby that's forsure. But I would also get rid of Fleury who has been poopting the bed in the playoffs the last couple of years. And I would try to trade Malkin for Weber straight up. |

Question for Oil fans, don't know if this has been mentioned in this thread. Any interest by fans there in Letang? Would Edm be willing to move Smid to get him? |

I know it does that's why I said try. Regardless, a kings ransom could be had for him if he was willing to waive it. |

Doesn't go into affect until 2014-2015, plus it's only a 800k raise from the cap hit he has now. |

We would need to get rid of a righty if we got Letang. Petry+Paajarvi+7th overall if he were to sign an extension |

He isn't better than Crosby therefore I wouldn't pay him more than Crosby. |

Crosby is actually getting paid more. He got his deal done before the lockout, and is getting paid 10+ mil a year for the 1st 6 years of the contract. |

Would rather have Smid. You can keep Paajarvi. Smid is exactly what the Penguins need in their D corp. They have a bunch of young, offensive minded D-men coming up in the next few years, and only 1 stay at home prospect in the system. |
