I know, perhaps I misread the guys armchair proposition, not sure if you know for sure, but when I hear Jake Gardiner, just the other day at an event I was at say Gunnarrson is one of the most underrated players in the league (bit of a homer comment) I would consider that deal deal without Kulemin.

We need that type of D. I mean, how much can Mac-T really expect from just the 7th pick?

smid and Schultz have absolutely no offensive acumen and petry is just decent. Schultz obviously has a good head for the game, but still has a long way to go and wasn't as solid moving the puck to rushing forwards as whitney is

Well three cheers for Bobby-Mac. And yes, sweeten it all the more with prospects or one of our roster players to get the better player in any case.

I wish there were more "along the lines of M Staal" that could be had...

Not to quibble on Ebs but I do see flashes of a good back check every now and then when he plays with purpose.
Man, our D is so bad, when Eberle actually corrals the puck down low in the D zone I'm stoked in comparison. i find he makes goods decisions at that point - dude has poise.

im a fan for the most part. he still makes bone headed decisions, but hes our best all around dman imo. the only true two way guy we got.

I really don't think we can afford to deal either him or smid. even in a package for 1 star. we just don't have the depth. we need to add quality without subtracting if at all possible. at least on the backend anyway.

however, id have no problem moving n Schultz for another 3rd pairing of his ilk that makes 1.5 less. he really disappointed me this year and I think theres many cheaper options out there that could provide the same quality as he did. but again, still wouldn't consider moving him unless another ones coming back. we cant afford to lose the depth

If we could send a mix of hemsky,horcoff(half cap retained) paajarvi, the 7th, both seconds, marincin, musil, pitlick, etc to nab two of staal, bogo and tyutin, id be a very happy fan.
