i am not so sure.. part of the problem was the economy at the time as well.. people didnt have the money to spend on things like hockey games

i didnt really take habs fans to be so fickle.. i always thought the attendance issue was not so much because of poor play.. but a poor economy

Yeah, I've been to a few games where you can see a lot of empty seats, but when the game starts they annouce that it is "soldout".

Translation: you can walk to a scalper when the 1st period is started and get tickets on the cheap.
