I tink there is a good chance the Flyers go after a 2nd line or 1st line winger or even center and move Schenn over to the wing. Depends on cost. What does everyone think he will get? I could totally see the Flyers bringing in B. Richards as the second line center and moving Schenn over too. Not advocating just think the Flyers love their centers and a faceoff guy on a "cheaper" second deal could be of interest. Any thoughts on how much he will get?

I think a team's best sniper is only as good as the playmaker feeding him the puck. I look towards Dany Heatley as an example. Love him or hate him, he was unhappy the moment he was taken off a line with Jason Spezza and his production went down, which saw Heatley demand a trade. Same example with the Sharks. Heatley didn't ask to be traded but he was taken off a line with Thornton, his production went down and he was traded. If the Flyer could find gifted scoring from within Jake Voracek, Scott Hartnell or Brayden Schenn by being set up by Claude Giroux, problem solved. Scoring could become an issue though. We've seen Giroux over the years put the puck through the legs of 3 players, right on the stick of his intended target for an easy tap in. The plays are there, we just need someone to put it away. Not that I feel Heatley will be bought out or Iglina would even sign here but if the Flyers can swing it, I would do it. We should consider what we already have first though...

husky > gervais and i'd gladly lose the 7th rounder
- Don'tForgetTocchet

It's sad because with Streit coming in it's just one more connection that would make Homer want to keep Gervais as the 7th. With him and Streit being a former pair and with him being Max Talbot's best friend it's just one more thing keeping him here

Gonna rain all weekend, the major storm though should blow through tonight. I actually got sent home today after the major storm this morning as we had a fun tornado drill here in DE while I was at work. We are buckling down for round 2 here in a bit, beautiful right now (of course).

It would help keep me amused. Let me know if you get that done. I think that Gervais stays mainly because he's already signed for a low cap hit that in theory can be buried in the AHL. And Homer has bigger problems.

EDIT: Although with Shane Harper gone we've got a roster spot!

How's that drive in the AM? I come from NJ to Newark, so I'm heading away from Wilmington traffic both ways.

Yes
We were driving back to Philly from Elkton Md. when the earthquake started.
We were stopped at a light on an overpass, and the car started shaking. The next five miles everyone was standing outside their stores and work talking on their cell phones.
That was pretty cool.

It's annoying but not too bad. Newark to Wilmington from door to desk is prolly around 35 - 45 min. So I've had worse commutes. Going home is usually worse. And Fri in the summer blows monkey chunks... LARGE ONES. Everyone headed to the beach stalls it all into oblivion.
