I love how the article states that Budaj started the 5th game as though Price was pulled. When in fact he was injured. Great journalism. whoever wrote it should likely write a blog here on HB. - mlindsay
I'll take credit for that...Price sucks and we all know it... |

Jamie Benn, #10 and a 2nd.
Dallas and the Avs are now Division rivals, so that is the Smallest offer I would accept.

I predicted the Kings beat the Sharks in 6 games. So sometimes I'm perfect at guessing and sometimes I'm not. |

Benn wouldn't be in the proposals.
I could see something like,
Eriksson, 10th, 29th/30th, Morrow, and Faksa
---------
Eriksson = Top 6 winger we need
Morrow = Left handed young offensive defender with good size
Faksa = Young Physical center that could learn in a third line role and allow us to move one of Stastny/O'Reilly
Picks = Picks
Yes it would take that sort of massive overpayment to move out of the top 3-4, as stated by Roy himself. Which makes the trade highly unlikely, but I guess it's all about how bad you want something. |

Eklund: Stars Gearing Up for Push at Top Draft Spot? - Eklund
And buffalo has #8 and #16 as well as multiple 2nd round choices. If anyone can move into #1-3 it will be them over any other club. Not to mention they could also throw in miller, stafford, sekera or 1 of the many prospects to sweeten a deal. No one is going to trade a top 3 spot for #10 and #29 or #30 try again eck. |

Without Benn there should be no proposal. If you are trying to trade for the #1 overall Pick you are presumably trading for a franchise superstar. Thats not something you can just throw a bucket full of moderate pieces towards and get.
If they want to trade for a young superstar they will have to give up one or else I would hang up the phone.
Eriksson as good as he is, is 27, which is too old to be the main piece for a rebuilding avs team.
Avs don't need Morrow as we already have Barrie and Elliot and any of those prospects/ picks are just that, prospects and picks. Who knows how they will turn out.
To even consider thinking of trading the number 1 pick you would have to do far better than that.

did you seriously include morrow in your statement? ... your credibility is now gone. learn the rosters before you go posting.

It's Joe Morrow, the defensive prospect the Stars got from the Brendan Morrow deal with Pitt. Maybe you should look at the roster before blasting someone |

no chance in hell...unless you give up Jamie Benn and Jack Campbell - sudburyboy
No way if im dallas do I give up Benn. I wouldn't give up Benn straight up for #1. That being said if the avs can get something like what describing I do it allllll freaking day. |

miller is garbage. the avs could acquire one of probably 5 better goalies this off season. they need d, goaltending wasn't to bad. |
