Vinnie's still pretty good... and he can skate.
you telling me you don't like this top 6?
JVR-Lecavalier-Kessel
Lupul-Kadri-Clarkson
? - Big_Lightnin
I take Vinnie over Bozak. Besides, he would be a good veteran leader, something the Leafs are sorely lacking. |

ya it never made sense that didn't work. Though, Beauch wasn't bad here, he just got burned a lot cause he was over-relied on.
But no way they trade him now. And he'd have to be a bit goofy to sign here again - Big_Lightnin
Beauchemin suffered from Raycrap-Toskaloss disease. It ripped through the Leafs organization for 3 or 4 years. |

Invisible 20+ goals and close to a PPG? fine by me.
you have to sign him for 4 yrs.
that's nothing. - Big_Lightnin
I guess...anytime I've gone to see him play...he does sweet (frank) all...doesnt even break a sweat....he gets points still but he's playing with a couple sweet players too....I guess...maybe....Not sure if he could handle T.O. |

in a heartbeat, as long as he signs on the cheap, which he prolly wouldn't do.
but I'd give him $4M for 4yrs absolutely. Answer's the same if it's Brad Richards - Big_Lightnin
Also wondering if we should maybe take a chance on the Heater to replace Clarke.
I know he's a douchebag murderer, but he's a former 50-goal scorer and since he's "a (frank)ing allstar!!!" he may flourish here in the limelight... maybe even more when we face the Sens just to piss Melnyk off. |

I think Colborne needs to play... we need to find out his max potential so he is a chip for our cup in the next few years - jribout
Seeing him on the third line would be interesting. Would be good for him to learn a responsible defensive game and gives the team so leeway with size at center, and offensive potential. Pair him with McClement and Kulemin and that would be a damn good line.
4th Line of D'Amigo/Ashton - Boyd - McLaren/Orr
Good solid energy line with a couple of good PKers and a good fighter.
If we were to sign anyone as a Power Forward, I could see Ryan Clowe. Cheaper than Horton or Clarkson. He fights, he scores, checks, agitates. Replaces everything Komarov, Orr/McLaren and others do in one player.
Liles could be traded for a rather modest fee. 3rd? 4th?
Buyouts... Vinny would be the frontrunner I'd go for. Then by virtue
Grabo will stick around for another year. So will Kadri. I could see a 1A and 1B line.
Lupul - Kadri - Kessel
JVR - Grabovski - Clowe
McClement/Frattin - Colbourne - Kulemin/D'Amigo
Frattin/Ashton - Boyd - McLaren/Orr/D'Amigo
Phaneuf - UFA? Trade? Draftee?
Gardiner - Franson
Liles/Gunnerson - Fraser/O'Byrne/UFA/Ranger
I feel Paul Ranger could make a comeback, and in Toronto because he wants to stay close to home. In Tampa he was a damn effective player. Hell, he was on his way to a top pairing role. He might be ready to try again, starting out small on the third pairing. Could easily jump up the depth chart.
Reimer
UFA (Bulin Wall could work, Lababera, Nabokov, or Khudobin)
If the Leafs could make a trade for Edmonton's 7th... Darnell Nurse is that number 2 we need, Ristolainen is also a choice. Monahan, Lindholm, or Horvat could be a number 1 center with various skill sets. Nichushkin could be that first line power forward.
Wennberg or Hagg would be great prospects. Hell, Wennberg is likely one of the steals of this draft coming up.
God I hope we can have 2 1st rounders this draft

He couldn't play for Carlyle. He would be crying after the 1st practice and asking for a trade after the 2nd practice. |

Not a bad choice but the Leafs aren't even in the running for Roy according to Ek's rumour chart. - GCHonda
So his chances going to the Leafs are high then |

Let Kadri run on 1
Keep Grabo for 2
JoeyC on 3
Mcclement on 4. - UsernameUnknown
Not sure why everyone wants to pencil this guy into a 3rd line checking role. Has he shown the ability to be a shutdown/energy type player? <-- yes, that was rhetorical. |

meh. much rather Clarkson. Heatly needs to be in the top 6 to make it worthwhile, and I don't see room for him.

4 yrs??? He's invisible now...imagine in a couple years??? No thanks,,,2 million 1 or 2 years maybe....it would be too cold in Toronto for that big baby!!!! - Garnie
2 million?! Get your head out of your ass!
Maybe we can sign Crosby for 3.25.
Or the Sedins at a combined 4.5
Or Subban at 1.85
Or Stamkos at 3

Because he needs to learn to play a more complete game. What better than learning to play defense with two of the teams best defensive players in McClement and Kulemin? Seems like a good idea to me.
Rhetoric questions are for suckers. |

Define "chip."
Lays, Ruffles? Old Dutch? - AdamFrench
either a playing chip
or a trade chip for a more veteran presence or part of a package trade for upgrade (if we are in contention for the cup) |
