How did you fare in your propane-selling endeavor?

said it before, I think Ashton makes the team. Especially with Komarov gone. I think he takes that spot.
- Big_Lightnin

That could be too.... Probably comes down to D'Amigo is Ashton for that spot, barring anything being done in UFA.

Look at Burn's post above.

People expected waaaaay too much after riding shotgun to Derek Stepan on that dream USA team.

D'Amigo received a $270,000 singing bonus on top of the average starting NHL salary of $810,000. If D'Amigo is sent to the Leafs' AHL team in Toronto he will be making a slightly less amount to the tune of $67,500.

Slightly less?

SLIGHTLY less?

SLIGHTLY less?!

How the (frank) is that "slightly" less?

That would be signifigantly less.

Leave it to Wikipedia.

So now that Komo is gone..any ideas on next years line up? Use your imaginations after trades and free agency of course
- iTOLDu

With no trades or big UFA's I still like

Lupul Kadri Kessel
JVR Grabo Frattin
Mclement Gordon Kulemin
D'Amigo Colborne Ashton/Orr or McLaren

Would be even better if we could slot Horton or Clarckson into the 2nd Line and Frattin with Colbrone

Leafs did it right though. Sending him back to Jr brought his head back down to realistic size...

Now he's done the work and he looks ready to make the jump.

He had an unbelievable tourny.... If he can bring that type of speed and some grit and work on the PK he could see some time.

He is one of the longest serving Marlies who has not had a shot yet, I think it is time to give him a chance or at least a look.

Ya he left the NCAA way too quickly as well. Wins Rookie of the year over a first round pick like Louis Leblanc, looking poised for a great year...then bam, riding pine and up and down all around. Hurt him some.

He's getting close though, if he could bring that intensity to the full year instead of just playoffs and tournaments.

Imagine how the Kings feel right now knowing that they're going to have to match that for the only player to show up in the playoffs. Voynov is such a good player for such a small stature.

Might impact the resigning of Scuderi.

Agreed. He wasn't ready yet for the Marlies at that time.... in and out of the lineup, spot duty. Getting sent down to Kitchener was a good move. I think it got his confidence back.

After a certain amount of time spent in the minors, I think the time comes when a player has to decide what he's going to be

Ashton is probably at the point where he needs to become a pest. The ship is sailing on the idea of him becoming a top six forward.

I'd be fine with him simply using his large frame to throw a ton of hits, get in the odd scrap, and double down on the defense. Become a good PKer and checker.

Kings have a bit more leverage to get him to take a bridge deal. Very good team they will likely keep together. Would be smart to take a bit less on a 3 year deal and see if he can win another cup with them. Then hit the lottery as a UFA.

Scuderi and Ferrence will sign with the Oilers to play for Eakins and Ranger will do that too and other guys will too.

ya he's been playing more of a 3rd line banger role who can chip in offensively. Has grown into his size and uses it well.

Also a guy you can stick in front of the net on the PP who has the size to stay there and the hands to bang in rebound and make tips.
