Bollig will have an impact????

Based on.................

Hey, I love me some B52!

With that said, the idea of him in the line-up against the Bruins in game 1 scares the living B'Jesus out of me. If the Hawks were down 3 games in the series, I could understand sticking Bollig in the line-up. To start the series? No thanks.

Early Chicago with Terry Kath on guitar was awesome!

I heard they were going to cancel the series, but the scalpers threw a hissy fit.

Agreed......and if for whatever the reason he is playing doesn't work (which it won't) I hope Q doesn't hesitate to go back to Stalberg. Just wonder why he is making a change.....

Perhaps to motivate Stalberg? It worked wonders when Q pulled that trick in the Detroit series.

Here is what I don't understand......I've been reading your posts for a couple of weeks and about 85% of the time I shake my head. First of all it is your right as a fan to be critical of Q. Yes there are times his strategy has me shaking my head but by and large he is a very good coach. He isn't one of the winningest coaches for no reason. In the 5 years he has been to 3 WCF and 2 Stanley cups.....what other coach can claim that level of success in the league right now? No one. You say he screwed with all these players heads in the Detroit series but guess what.....they won that series. Most of us thought the Kings were going to roll over the Hawks and guess what....they didn't. My point is go ahead and criticize as long as his actions are worthy of it......but as you can't seem to forget his negatives you seem quick to dismiss any positives he brings to the table. You can't seem to give him any credit for anything...ever. It is why your posts are utter nonsense.........

lol...I think the only reason to use Stalberg is for his speed.....I would think that is more of a valuable piece than what Bollig can give the team.

I applaud Qstache......it's was getting tiresome reading about how bad a coach who has been to 3 WCF and 2 Stanley Cups the past five years is .......

I get the whole Stalberg=speed premise. However, I haven't really noticed him on the ice since the Wild series, which is the last time Bollig played in a game.

At this point, I'd like to see Stalberg to start, but if the Hawks start dropping games, I'd be open to Q sticking in B52 and even Carbomb if things get desperate.

For sure. Especially a verbal cage match. His posts seem a bit more well thought out.

I like that scenario better and you're right Stalberg has not been playing well since early on in the Wild series......I just think the reputation of his speed will get the B's defense honest when he is out there....one can hope right

I know we all question some of the moves but it's hard to argue with the record of success; especially since the Hawks are back in the finals for the 2nd time in 4 years. I think the last time that happened was the early seventies.

I'm not getting the Brandon Bollig thing either. If it was a regular season game that's one thing but in the SCF no. I like Bollig but just not playing in this situation since the stakes are so high. The Hawks are on a nice playoff roll right now so why change things now. I don't think he is going to stop the Bruins taking liberties with the Hawks. The Bruins have to many guys that can play that game. The biggest deterrent would be if the Hawks actually could start scoring on the power play but under Kompon that's asking a lot.

Again...it's okay to not like decisions he makes but to say they are in the cup in spite of him is ridiculous.

I know the hawks have played in some pressure situations, but nothing bigger than the Cup finals. Boston has 17 players from their Cup. Hawks only have 8. I'm worried about how this team handles the pressure. We need to win the 1st two at home. I hope this team doesn't have the jitters too much
- tomcat24

Experience, or the lack of it, concerns me as well. But you can only gain it, by playing in these pressure situations. So for the young guys on the Hawks, win or lose, it's all good to be gaining the experience.

I say the Hawks win it for Zues...his first, and perhaps his only final.

He is this years Dave Andreychuk.

Agreed...not happy with the Bollig for Stalberg swap.

Ya just know that the final box will have Bollig with 3:30 of ice time, and zero shifts in the 3rd.

Why puck with the line up
7-1 in high pressure on your face .....win or go home games and we haven't even played Boston yet
Change nothing and see what happens in game one
Benching Stals against Detroit sure was effective

Here we go again
