Wow, Steve, can you share the interviews, conversations, maybe the texts and tweets he sent out supporting your claim?

Gosh in pro sports, you don't every want to see any fire or desire for a guy to play, especially when you can't point to any one ACTUAL thing the guy did to earn his demotion.

But here I go again with logic, its so much easier to create some straw man persona that we can knock down and blame everything on.

I played on a lot of teams at very high levels and had many guys I could not stand, but players always hated when coaches would eff with the Karma of a group. Now if a guy does something legit to warrant something, so be it, but in this case there is as much likelihood Q told him he was sitting because he wanted to do something else as opposed to him supposedly blowing up. If anything he blew up when he was told you are sitting and Vic says why, what did I do or what havent I done that you have asked? And Q has no answer for him.

At the end of my glorious dead horse beating, Remember, I want my team to be who they ARE and have been. To embrace their game and what has given them success, instead of trying to anticipate and change in anticipation of something.

I don't disagree. It sucks for him but all I'm saying is if they win or lose it will have very little to do with playing Brandon Bolig over victor stalberg.

They need guys to accept roles in the bottom six, like frolik has. Stalberg hasn't. Or else he'd be playing. Stalberg wants to be pissed, he can stare at the guy in the mirror.

Team, then individual. Always.

Quotes from the Kings

Los Angeles Kings defenseman Robyn Regehr was scheduled for surgery Monday for a "bad arm," coach Darryl Sutter said.

Sutter didn't elaborate when he spoke to reporters on the final day of L.A.'s break-up meetings, but a Kings spokesperson confirmed Monday that Regehr was set to undergo elbow surgery. Los Angeles was eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs by the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night.

"He played with a bad arm the whole playoffs," Sutter said. "We're getting multiple guys looked at and he's first on the list."

Kings captain Dustin Brown said Monday that he will not need surgery to repair a partially torn cruciate ligament in his knee, which he revealed after Game 5 of the Western Conference Final. Brown said it will take 4-6 weeks of rest and he will "probably have to wear" a brace.

Brown said it happened on his first 5-on-5 shift against the San Jose Sharks in Game 6 of the conference semifinals.

"I hit

- Kingsrit[Dan] Boyle," Brown said. "It's a nothing play. I saw it on video. I continued to play the shift. I knew something was wrong, but I kept on playing. He was coming around the net and corner and [Trevor Lewis] kind of had him angled, and I kind of came down on an angle. I think my knee just kind of hit his thigh. He's a little smaller than me, so it's just the way it hit."

Kings defenseman Drew Doughty (high ankle sprain) and forward Justin Williams (separated shoulder) also revealed their injuries after elimination.

Don't know whether it would have mattered although it may have made some of the games closer and possibly went 7.

Every player is banged up at this point in the playoffs.

Alright.....should we get the black dude who translates for the school of the hearing impaired?

Future hof, stalberg, is....
-not a vital piece on the pp or pk
-has not produced given numerous chances in the playoffs
-has not physically asserted himself other then catching 1 guy off balance in game 1 vs la
-will NOt be a member of the 2013-14 hawks

So....based on his productivity and lack of physical play, horrible defensive zone coverage, and being prone to moronic, kris versteeg type neutral zone turnovers, he is being sat in favor of a guy who will generate more in the same amount of time.

Now, you could also say the same about saad as stalberg and you would be correct, but he's a piece of this thing and needs the ice time.

Maybe we need a remedial reading tutor, again nice flare for the dramatic, who nominated him to HOF?

Great job of providing us with cliche generalizations. I asked for one specific moment, or shift? You have got to have some youtube footage of all of Vics blunders vs Minn to shut me up? Show me how, outside of all things bad CC, 25 is to blame for all the losses this post season?

The only thing that would be better is if you or somebody would project how the rest of the team feels 25 should be sitting too. How they just whisper and roll their eyes when he takes a shift?

You are telling me that Bollig will generate more in same amount of time?

Ok, your honor no further questioning....

Is stalberg supposed to score goals? Yes. Has he? No.

There's all the clips you need. My god. Did they just bench Rudy?

Let it go....Bolig will make an impact. He's not John Scott. He has more career playoff goals then stalberg.

Best case, a royally pissed off stalberg returns at some point and actually produces.

Your turn, counselor.

Richards was hurt against SJ in games 6 and 7. He came into the series already damaged along with a large complement of players.

Well that was fun and a good way to pass some time today. Off to the rink myself for 35 and over playoff hockey. A win puts us in the finals.

BTW, I have no doubt 25 will be gone next year regardless. I have no doubt the guy goes on to be a solid player, when he plays somewhere where the coach removes the handcuffs and lets him play.

Is he getting chances? By and large yes, like most guys. Is he skating 8 mins a game vs the regular shift he skated all year?

You see, I am more worried about the worst case, and that is the team getting flat and Q having to revert back to what worked all year.

I get the Bollig vs Thornton thing, and the slower dmen Boston has. But the way you do something like this, is play your lineup and if they struggle....change, not vice versa.

But I do have to run Counselor...request for adjournment....

Brandon Bollig is going to make an impact - doing exactly what? If Q is worried about a stiff like Sean Thornton and feels he needs to counterpunch with Bollig, that reasoning is past my level of hockey comprehension. During the game that Gregory Campbell was injured, Julien played 10 forwards in a 2OT game and glued Thornton's ass to the bench mainly because he can't play a high paced game.

Now if you are going to tell me that Q is inserting Bollig as the man to be physical with Chara, Seidenburg and/or Lucic like the Leafs did with Colton Orr, I guess I can understand that - sorta, maybe. But Bollig isn't much and I don't want to see him very much.

Stalberg, I'm disappointed in the quality of his play throughout the playoffs. I suspect Q and the coaches feel he just can't grasp what they want him to do and as such is a liability. Guys like Frolik and Kruger have sold and proven their value to the Coach, Slik Vik has not.

If you must know, MG interacts with the season ticket holder base quite regularly and i asked him personally to expand his search past the media darlings and to include some out of the box thinkers, guys who came into the league and have proven to be able to coach young players, veterans and win. A guy who deserves another shot is Guy Carbonneau, and another one is Ted Nolan. I think they should merit some consideration, though money is betting on Stevens out of LA or Torts (just to shake some people out of their malaise and hold people accountable).
- kaptaan

Did you ask him to check into the availability of Dr. Phil or Maury Povich? That locker room could use some group healing and new integrity. Those 2 would be perfect fits and probably even improve on the current organizational themes (diving, illegitimate crying and delusional behavior).

Gillis should at least check with Dr. Phil himself on a few sessions to improve his interpersonal skills. Less petulant behavior may have gotten Luongo moved.

Here is what I don't understand......I've been reading your posts for a couple of weeks and about 85% of the time I shake my head. First of all it is your right as a fan to be critical of Q. Yes there are times his strategy has me shaking my head but by and large he is a very good coach. He isn't one of the winningest coaches for no reason. In the 5 years he has been to 3 WCF and 2 Stanley cups.....what other coach can claim that level of success in the league right now? No one. You say he screwed with all these players heads in the Detroit series but guess what.....they won that series. Most of us thought the Kings were going to roll over the Hawks and guess what....they didn't. My point is go ahead and criticize as long as his actions are worthy of it......but as you can't seem to forget his negatives you seem quick to dismiss any positives he brings to the table. You can't seem to give him any credit for anything...ever. It is why your posts are utter nonsense.........

I seem to remember having an argument before the playoffs started with somebody about Stalberg's numbers declining (if not disappearing) in the playoffs. But I can't recall who that was....

Well...in fairness there really wasn't enough of a sample size with two first round exits the last two years........but after this year no question he hasn't performed and credit to you for having the insight.

If that's the case, Q is overthinking things because Bolland shouldn't and, frankly, can't be counted on to make offensive contributions at this point in time.

Scotty, Scotty........... planning ahead ??

Bolland on the PP to try to increase his trade value this summer............
Stalberg on the pines to try to decrease his market value this summer .........

These Bowman's think they're something !!

you don't even know what a troll is... and what I post isn't trolling. if it was JJ would banish me or point it out clearly. I'm not hiding the fact I don't like the hawks, but I do like reading what JJ has to say to get to know what's going on with the competition. it makes games more interesting and as a HOCKEY fan i derive enjoyment and entertainment from the exercise. Nobody can go away, because some others have found some merit in what i've written.

i agree with what you are saying for the most part but when you say the hawks haven't faced adversity, think of every game that they were trying to keep their run going. people were gunning for them all the time. so whatever one calls it, it was a lot of pressure everygame. we overcame the wings like you said. we are ready to handle this stage.
- jsabey

Hey Jsabey thanks for responding...

If you're referring to the streak...yes I think that helped. Every team wanted to be the one to knock out the Hawks during the streak, yet they found a way...but the playoffs are a different animal. The Wings shut down the Hawks like they hadn't been shut down all season. It made them adapt and change their game...and hopefully its going to help them here.
